Other options would be in 120/80-17 like Zapper Vyde (which I got recently, no complaints so far be it wet/dry/gravel) or you can try the tyre which vivekgautams had got (FZ like pattern). If you can get a hold Michelin Sirac at this size, it would be awesome but it will be very very hard to find.

If you dont mind smaller size (100/80 or 100/90), there are many options like Michelin Pilot Sporty, R15 V1's rear tyre etc.
Over size tyre effects & under size tyre effect ?

This June I am going to Leh, so need Tyre which can be good in that terrain plus good in cornering too.

Shahbaz have you considered the Ceat vertigo sport 120/80-17 its a tubeless tyre with similar aspect ratio & just 10mm wider than stock. Its one of the best tyre for leh riding with its specific thread pattern. All the best for your ride, Ride safe.

I thought projector set-up is a safe bet.
How much did it cost to go for projector set-up??
Bike is still AC.I think I have those dc convertors(diodes) to convert Ac to dc.
Anyway..very less light output.Don't know exactly what is the problem. All connections are perfect, maybe HID is damaged..some scratches on projector lens too,or still running on ac is the issue.
Just tired of riding almost blind in nights.Including labour cost was 8k as said by the previous owner, which I seriously doubt.

Visiting Leh? You dont have much options. AFAIK Ceat Vertigo 120/80 is the safest bet! You dont want to go there with any puncture prone tyres. Vertigo is hard compound and those stud type pattern should help a lot in off road conditions around Leh. But it may not offer much benefit on normal roads when compared with stock TVS.

You can also look for Impulse's rear tyre (110/90-17). But I have no idea if it is better than ceat vertigo or not.

I did my Leh ride in 2011, with brand new stock size MRF zappers. Unless you plan on doing mad high speed offroading a new normal road tyre would do good in Leh too...

For Leh I would suggest CEAT vertigo Sports.......best offroading tyre.....but on open highways you would feel you are riding on mini-speedbreakers. :P

How good it is in Wet & dry conditions??
I'm sure you would have experienced both during your Leh trip.
If its really good, then I too would like to go for it. I thought of going for Michellin sirac for rear. front tires is definitely zap-fs.

Even I wanted to try out something for the RC exhaust. Have you tried powder coating? I have read even that will come off in sometime. Joel had recommended ceramic coating but yet to find someone who can do it.

Heat resistant spray, powder coating etc will come off from the chrome surface. I'm yet to hear of a success story. The rc guy will say so many things. Beware...
