Great, LijoK bhaijaan Congoz for the same. Anyways, your dream of reading 145kmph at the console is much nearer now I think it, now, will be easily achievable by playing with the gearing only, ain't it? Or there's something else in your mind...?

And, I would love to hear the exhaust note if you can provide a video

      • Finally changed my tyres at 11.5k kms.

Changed the front to 90/90 17 MRF and rear to 110/80 17 IRC (Cost me a total of 3000 bucks after exchange). I wanted the dazzler one on the rear but the dealer says MRF has stopped making that tyre He added further that Dazzler will come with TVS tyres

I guess he's going overboard, but he's promised me a free tyre change if I can get the dazzler tyre from any dealer

        • 1 Accident, 4 Servicing Later....

          Hi,

Wanted to share my experience with the RTR 180 1 accident, and 4 services later.

          1. RTR is one of the best motorcycles ever to be built. Every part on the bike is built for specific function and performs those functions with least amount of problems, except for the tyres. Example: When the bike and me met with an accident, the bike pretty much skidded for a distance of 10 metres, and damage was minimal, only cosmetic. Only the crash guard, the dampeners and the saree guard suffered. I expected more with the way the accident happened.
          2. Service stations are just a pain the wrong end. They are the exact opposite of the bike. They aren't functional at all. Just a rip off. Example: After only the fourth servicing, did the squeaky noise in the front disc break was fixed.
          3. The bikes has been revs freely and happily. Example: Always have been the first off the signals 99% of the time. 1% I wasn't in the mood or had a pillion.
          4. Bike aint that stable after 100 kmph. guessing the tyres. I keep getting a feeling of low grip. Feels as if the bike wants to leave the tarmac. Dont know at that moment if I am on a bike or a plane.
          5. A every easy to maintain the bike, provided you pay attention to her everytime you ride. Small niggles present, but either you can fix them (hope you know a good mechanic) or you work around it.
          6. Decent economy: Get around 41 kmpl. Usually I ride her around the 6k rpm, irrespective of the gear.
          7. Comfort level not too bad. Have done a few trips to Lonavala, and wasn't too tired post them.

So, overall, worth every rupee I paid for her.

          • The cursed tvs tires almost took another toll...it made me remember all moments of my life in those 2 sec..... many thanks to god...that the volvo bus behind me had really good tires and brakes!! . It happened during the last week's rain in Bangalore. I stopped at the traffic light and vroomed ahead on my white menace...and voila! that bloody idiot pulsar guy stopped without any reason in front of me making me go for all the brakes!!!...and the rest of story is known to everyone who has driven on the wet surface...

So......i am planning to get my rear tire changed to MRF Zapper or Michelin M45. and...also planning to buy the protective jackets and stuff!!

Now the problem is...when i checked the website of MRF, i could see that MRF Zapper Q is available in 110/90 18...whereas RTR 180 rear is 17 inches...will it be a problem??? Will Zapper Wyde 120/80 17 will be a fit for RTR 180? Also, will it void warranty? My bike is 5900KM old.

            Please advise!!

Plus noticed one thing. Was trying to remove the rear mudflap, noticed that one screw is missing !! Am going to complain this to the SVC. Man they need to do something about all this. Don't they check the bike before delivery ?? Also, could anyone tell Me how to remove the rear mudflap as I was unsuccessful last time . I removed the number plate, then the two side screws below seat(one of which was missing!). Even then it wouldn't come of!! Anymore screws I need to unscrew?
Mirhawk...it is little confusing inside when you take out the mudflap. There are two more screws on the either side...after you have unscrewed those...try to pull it out very gently... I am attaching the pic of the flap...hope you find it useful....

I am getting my tyres changed:

                From current TVS OEM to

                Front - 90/90 17" IRC (Cost 1.5k)
                Rear - 110/80 17" IRC (Cost 1.7k)

Just wanted to check if IRC is better than MRF.
The MRF option for Front is 90/90 Zapper FS and the Rear is Zapper C.

                Suggestions please
Hey Social...pls let me know if you are from Bangalore...if yes..then do let me know where to get the rear IRC

MRF Zapper Q 18'' wont fit on your bike's rear tyre which is 17''.Yes,you can fit 120/80 section tyre but you will lose some acceleration and mileage in the process.Safe bet is to go for Dazzler's stock rear tyre which is MRF Zapper C 110/80 17''.Its a direct fit and is of the same stock size.
No,changing the tyres dont void the warranty of the bike!

                  • @Tachyon - Zapper C 110/80-17" is the stock size tire from MRF.

No Coil rewinding done. But its way better than the stock 35W. The road is well lit !

If you drive fast in rain, any tire will skid.
I had 2 accidents, both on a surface with lots of sand and my speed was above 60+ both the times. I have driven a lot in rain but never faced any issue bcoz my speed never crosses 45+ in traffic(with slow acceleration) and 50+n in less traffic.
After riding a lot in rain I can say that TVS tires are not that bad as ppl call it, they are good tires. But if you still dont have confidence on TVS tires, go for a change.

P.S. My bike is RTR 180 and I'm using stock tires for close to 29k kms.

                            • @kirankj1724: At the first glance I thought that it is some SBK (from the frontal view) then another thought tapped in my mind that I am on RTR 180 thread. Looking cool! More information on the Headlamp?

its the normal projector+HID+Angel eye setup
The only difference is the headlamp assemblybelongs to RX/MAX100 category.. (guessing)
It has a plastic frame to hold the projector
