You can take and post the pic of the plug..The idea of asking you to look and judge is to make you more confident in what you do and learn .Spark plug tells you what is happening at the heart of the engine ..ie., the combustion chamber. Any way post the pic and we will guide you with the diagnostics.
Worry will not solve the problem..so relax and to-gether we will find a solution.

Even I've seen the same Apache. Its being called as "Pro-Kit" by TVS and its not available for usOriginally posted by Technician View PostIs it me only or has any one seen RTR 180 Performance Kit with big exhaust muffler hole being shown by TVS REZ in malls with the power reported to be 21 PS with the launch in January 2011. I am afraid no TVS expert/ owner has come in contact with the model.

... Yeah, it generates 21PS. Let me attach some pics which we took at an APP (Apache Pro Performance) Stunt Show held in Sonepat (Haryana)

Guys, What is this Dsytona thingie?
Hahaha... yeah, we'll find the solution 2-gatherOriginally posted by psr View PostYou can take and post the pic of the plug..The idea of asking you to look and judge is to make you more confident in what you do and learn .Spark plug tells you what is happening at the heart of the engine ..ie., the combustion chamber. ... And, Even I m willing to get some confidence on DIY things. I am asking for the pic reference just to make sure that whether I m "reading" the spark plug correctly of not
. Will post the pic some time later.

Yes, that was a typo. Thanks for the correctionOriginally posted by kantu View PostI think its Daytona , they manufacture racing kits i think not sure though but some thing related to racing kits for sure
... And, obviously bro, its something related to performance kit
... Actually, I was asking that what this particular device/part is for... not about the name Daytona
Anyways, Aadith answered it. Thanks

21PS for such a light machine is Insane and this bike will be bloody quick.

My problem is that my bike is vibrating very much @ high speeds, say, at above 85-90kmph which is absolutely abnormal for an RTR and it feels like its not going to go above 100-110 as it vibrates a lot with much more sound. Also, the pull @ low speeds in all gears is reduced considerably and the roar is also not as it was or it should be. What should be the cause behind this and how to get it corrected? I felt that its the AFR going lean as the bike overheats even with very small rides like 2-3kms. (the idling goes to 2K even with fully depressed clutch which comes down to normal if i keep the bike in the same situation for more than 1-2 minutes) but a friend of mine said that its not just the Tuning which could be responsible for it. That's why, I'm seeking for some help from you people.
Hope everybody will make some effort and thanks in advance.
Seems to be some issue with the crankshaft. Get it checked.Ask the svc guys to check the timing as well.

The REZ show people were categorical that it would be launched in January 2011 and would come as a separate bike sub-model (not as a kit for regular bikes). The Performance Kit was written on the plastic scoop also. The main feature appeared to be a very bigger exhaust pipe / muffler. But I suspect it to have bigger Carb and a different cam as well that too without any oil cooler.
Seems to be Mojo/ CBR 250 effect.

you can create one but you need around 20-30k.Originally posted by Garry_Menace View PostEven I've seen the same Apache. Its being called as "Pro-Kit" by TVS and its not available for us

Can you please elaborate what could be the issue with crankshaft?Originally posted by chicane1879 View Post

Got the rear wheel adjusted according to the markings in the swing-arm.
Of late, my front disc squeals a lot under hard braking. Don't think the disc is touching the pad as the speeds are quite good (55kph @ 4k rpm). Any ideas?कृपया यहाँ पर ज्ञान न बांटे

Well crankshaft failures can be attributed to the issues which you are facing. High vibration level and low pulling power are a result of it. Just for precautionary measure, get it checked or otherwise faulty valve timing might be the culprit.Originally posted by Garry_Menace View PostCan you please elaborate what could be the issue with crankshaft?

Disk squealing is caused by dirt on the pads or the disc...or if left in the rain the resultant rust formation will do that. Basically two reasons cause disc squealOriginally posted by social View PostGot the rear wheel adjusted according to the markings in the swing-arm.

1. Accumulated dust from road and pad wear
2. When pad has worn to its limit.
The second reason is dangerous to the disc,as instead of softer pad material the pad backing Metal plate will be coming into contact with the disc, and hence the squeal.(Metal to Metal braking). This will wear out the disc alsoLast edited by psr; 11-15-2010, 07:12 PM.When Was The Last Time,You Did Something For The First Time.
