i gave my bike to a local trusted mech and i discovered that he TCI unit had got puffed up.the mech said that a faulty TCI unit reduces performance, mileage and the bike gets overheated.is this true??? cuz even after servicing and after putting castrol power 1 semi synthetic oil the bike gets heated even after riding for like 3 kms, heated in the sense it wont be burning hot but still it gets heated more than my activa which remains cucumber cool even after 6-7 kms!
has the mech cheated me????

Even I got my ABS delivered but i wasn't given an option to register it as Apache 180. My dealer told that the bike name has to be first registered with RTO and then only they can register my bike. So I took delivery of my bike and will be probably registering next week. If the bike is going to be registered as ABS by everyone else, I think its better to register yours also as Apache 180 ABS, if you haven't registered yet.Originally posted by Zippo View Postdealer informed me that it will be mentioned as TVS Apache RTR 180 in the RC smart card, not as TVS Apache RTR 180 ABS. Do you guys think it would be a problem?

as pulsar 200 was the top model to have bulp than pulsar 220. so the halonix 35w was used which was whitish. its the best option available to replace your stock 35w bulb. this one is my second. the first one got lost when i had an accident. the light was replaced to the original rtr one. still i got this one from my brothers 200 because he is using philips 65w xtreme white light bulb. i am pretty happy with its performanceOriginally posted by Drifty View PostWhat is the brand of the bulb?Philips?RTR have Halonix brand bulb. But Pulsars stock lamps are the normal halogen 35W ones. How come they focus whitish light??

Don't you face any battery drain issues?Flickering of light at lower rpms?As the stock set up is designed to work on 35W lamp, plus no dc power too!Originally posted by nisnth View PostExactly !! They appear way too bright for a stock lamps. They look more like the Philips 65W on my bike currently !
Well, don't know much about P200 bulbs. But,the P200 I had seen here until now had the same normal yellowish coloured light.Originally posted by whiteknight View Postas pulsar 200 was the top model to have bulp than pulsar 220. so the halonix 35w was used which was whitish.

Hey Guys,
I am getting my tyres changed:
From current TVS OEM to
Front - 90/90 17" IRC (Cost 1.5k)
Rear - 110/80 17" IRC (Cost 1.7k)
Just wanted to check if IRC is better than MRF.
The MRF option for Front is 90/90 Zapper FS and the Rear is Zapper C.
Suggestions please

What was your top speed before the mod?
I know, the time required to get at that speed must be 'less' but is this the top end or you can extract more than that?

Dont know much about IRC.Better go for the R15 front tyre MRF Zapper FY 80/90 17'' and for the rear MRF Zapper C 110/80 17''(the Dazzler's rear tyre)Originally posted by social View PostHey Guys,

No Battery issues that I faced until now. But yeah, it does flicker at lower rpms/idling (Not sure if its gonna have long term issues). But I can live with it as long as it give such a bright light when on the run !!Originally posted by Drifty View PostDon't you face any battery drain issues?Flickering of light at lower rpms?As the stock set up is designed to work on 35W lamp, plus no dc power too!

Yup. Been reading about IRC and it does seem that MRF has slightly better all-round performance due to it being better on wet.Originally posted by Drifty View PostDont know much about IRC.Better go for the R15 front tyre MRF Zapper FY 80/90 17'' and for the rear MRF Zapper C 110/80 17''(the Dazzler's rear tyre)
@LIJOK Push harder
But I assume the bike must have done 140 easily compared to stock which struggles after 130...

did you just install it, just like that, with no coil rewinding, APE rr, and all the electrical stuff, if you want the full power then you must do the rewinding, other than that it is just a 35w white bulb, i have seen the 65w bulb without coil rewinding, it just performs like a standard one. still is it worth it or not?Originally posted by nisnth View PostNo Battery issues that I faced until now. Hello Guys. Gave My Babe a wash today. Although didn't wet her much, mostly sponging. Can anyone tell Me where should I not allow water to be sprayed on? It would be a lot helpful in future. Also, thanks to those who helped Me out about idle rpm earlier. Did it perfectly.
Plus noticed one thing. Was trying to remove the rear mudflap, noticed that one screw is missing
!! Am going to complain this to the SVC. Man they need to do something about all this. Don't they check the bike before delivery
?? Also, could anyone tell Me how to remove the rear mudflap as I was unsuccessful last time
. I removed the number plate, then the two side screws below seat(one of which was missing!). Even then it wouldn't come of!! Anymore screws I need to unscrew?
