How do you guys manage riding without the mirrors? I'm not planning to remove mine but I'm just curious.

Can the same tyre can be fitted on the 2012 APACHE RTR 160. I think the rim size is the same as the RTR 180. will it fit?

2012 160 has the same tyres as 180. But I don't have a clear idea about 120 size tyres with RTR160. 160 has narrower swingarm than 180. So the tyre might rub with the swingarm. But in the past week, I saw 2 160s(old ones) with 120 section tyres. Also, read that an XBHP member had plonked 120/80-18 Pirelli Sport Demon here without any modification. However, it's better to stick with the stock 110 section tyre as wider tyres may take a toll on the performance.

Ya, a lot of difference in performance...The initial pick up of the range 0-10 kmph has reduced but it is very very very small drop & after that the pick up has increased ..The speed of the bike has increased, it does 84/85kmph @6k rpm & around 95/96kmph @7k rpm... The fuel efficiency has increased i.e, from 36 to 38.5 kmph after ripping in city & constant 90-100kmph..

Is there any device to prevent worthless people from flicking fuel from the on/off/reserve tap ..?? Some sick guys in my college have drained out more than a liter of petrol..

Dude, i have experimented with Motul, Shell, Castrol and ofcourse the TVS oil.... and finally i came to the conclusion that spending that much money on oil's is not a good idea, instead i use mineral oil ( mostly servo 10w40 or 20w40, dont remember exactly) and change it once in 2k kms...

Sorry for this silly question, but what does detailing mean and where can i get it done?
And what do you think is the best place to sell the bike? Classifides? TVS showrooms?

Motorcycle detailing = wash + wax + polish.

                            • I just got my beast after first service, when I take my beast for a ride this morning I heard a "chil" "chil" sound from sprocket area, to confirm that I put beast on center stand and started my bike then I can clearly hear this chil chil sound so I took my bike to nearest service center and noticed them about this problem, they said it's because Chain was just lubed that's why and that sound is perfectly normal etc..

What do you think ? Does that sound causing because of any sprocket or alignment related issues ?? or normal ?

Dear Albert, the chil sound in normal in almost all the bikes. So not to worry.
Try to lubricate your chain for every 200-300 kms which will increase the life of both chain as well as sprocket.
                                Enjoy your ride
