Apache 180 has very good pick up and the exhausr note is very good..it is like pocket rocket small but fast...it has vibes but i like the character of the bike...pulsar 180 looks little bigger than apche and my cousin owns it..it is also good in terms of performance but has less vibes infact on apache first time i got numb hands and butt lol but i might be not used to it ..avenger 220 went on small tours on it .it gives very good feel and thats its usp..on highways it is best driven between 60 -80 and gives descent mileage of near 40. But their something wrong with its egronomics..which reduces the fun....but between them apache with abs will enable you to enjoy speeds with less risk....and is durable good milage etc etc...owners may contribute..just written my experiance...

looks like someone had changed the DNA of my rtr or it may have evolved.
the bike is silky smooth between 4-7 k rpm but vibrates like hell between 7-8 ke and then becomes smooth again till 8.5k after which vibrates till the end.
pick up is as good as new
but the top end has decreased just a little bit.

        What might be the cause?

        NEED HELP!!!

new bike right. may be you should check for the arrow that indicates the direction of the rotating of the tire according to the fitting position. a reversed tire can give u a feeling that your bike is wobbling. like below, check if urs is correct.

thanks for the reply yes i checked the rotation arrow and the tyre pressure and it seems to be right. i asked my local mech and he said that the beading of the tyre might not have seated properly so he told me to tell the showroom people to remove the air from the tyre and re-seat the tyre. will get this done and update

I am not sure what answer are you expecting If you meant to ask if it gets worse than stock bulb then no. Even in rain, it is like a brighter version of stock bulb.

Hi guys this is my first post on xbhp. I'm a proud owner of the rtr 180 and found the TVS Apache RTR 180 thread on xbhp very helpful. Since i bought the bike i have been servicing it myself and enjoy every bit of it. I do have a problem with the TPS which i need to clean but i have no clue on how to adjust it. I tried searching for a post regarding this and found very little information.
Would really appreciate it if someone could explain how the TPS needs to be adjusted. Thanks guys!

CEAT vertigo in the rear & MRF Zapper in the front this setup is fine for RTR & better than the stock. You can also try Honda Dazzler's 110 section rear tyre (MRF zapper).

Thought about the contribution of the front disc to this issue? IMO, it's normal.

Can it be used to do relaxed cruising? I know it's not a cruiser, but still want to know. If yes then at what speed?

At what highest speed I can ride it for extended hours without doing any harm to the engine?

                            How disturbing are the vibrations
in the city rides and on the highway?

                            Please answer ASAP.

I rode 485kms on a single day last year. No overheating problems or whatsoever, believe me. I was skeptical over it's longevity since it's a rev machine. At the end when I reached home, I was a joker with numb fingers and a sore back. My RTR was still good to go.

I had been a ride till Chitradurga last week. The total kilometers I did in a single day is 422. I did constant speeds of 80 to 90 with 10 minute breaks every 70 mins. I never faced any sort of heating issues. I use Motul semi synthetic oil.

                                Guys,
My bike is nearing first service, please advice on following
                                1) What should be changed during this service? I know engine oil has to be changed, what else?
                                2) Should i specifically ask ASS to check/adjust anything?
                                3) How much bill amount i can expect?

Also suggest anything else if I need to take care. I'm from trivandrum.
