One as**le hit the rear of my bike & the white bulb just above the number plate got broken...
Only that white bulb & the holder got broken. I mean its elliptical in shape & just above the number plate. I hope u guys undertood.
Dont know the exact Name. I dont think that piece will come as separate.
Willl probably have to shell for the whole rear fender setup(the short/sporty version).

Have any of you seen or any idea if there is anybody selling windshields like this one in India?

Will be boon for touring since it can deflect winds and reduce stress and not to mention, the looks!! I never thought the newer version could look this good!

Also you can see that the bike has metal panniers on it. But I am sure I can forget getting such stuffs here in India!

Does anyone know where to get "RTR" stickers on the tank scoops?
Mine is RTR-160. Today when I gave my bike for service I asked for the availability of those mighty "RTR" stickers for which they said its not available for sale by the TVS company. And normally people get these from outside like JC road in bangalore.
Is that true? I thought these stickers will b for sale.
Can anyone confirm the same in a service center whenever you come across.
I enquired about this in Tristar TVS, Domlur (Bangalore).

hey guys, ill be getting my A160 in this coming week!! after going through many posts on xbhp, I am thinking of changing the stock tvs tyres right after taking delivery to either zapper c or IRC. Is the IRC available in 110/80 17" in bangalore?? and what would be the cost of the IRC?
Are the stock tvs tyres worth a try for a few 1000 km? its raining in bangalore atm
              thanks in advance

Nearby Indiranagar there is one Iyengar tires showroom..get in touch with them..They might have IRC.
Btw stock TVS tires are not good in rain conditions. Its good in dry condition though.
So if u can change it as soon as delivery it will be be better because u can sell of the stock tires showing them itsa brand new..
Even though I feel the max u can get by selling stock TVS tires in 1k~1.3k

AFAIK you cant. That's what atleast the SVC guyz will say.
                    Anyway try your luck.
I dont know about RTR-180, but in RTR-160 front tire is 25psi & rear tire is 28psi for single riding. For doubles maintain 32psi in back.
These details will be mentioned in your vehicle catalog.

that will be enough for now. IF you have the budget change that too.
Anyway I'm using stock front & rear tires right from the beginning. It will have longer life as it is hard compound tires.

Finally there is a replacement bulb for our 35W headlamps which we can happily plonk into our bikes without any change to electricals. Osram has launched a new bulb, Osram Nightracer Plus 35W (I dont think it is updated in their website yet). We came to know about this when we stumbled upon an Osram distributor in one of our trips who seeing that we were bikers, thought of letting us know about it.

I bought it later from the distributors outlet in Blore (so assured that it is a genuine product) and the main difference is the beam throw is much far away compared to stock bulb. In fact I had to lower the headlamps a little so that the beam wouldnt go too far. Colour is slightly more white but nothing to be worried in fog or rain, it is not that white. It is more brighter but not sure if it is 90% more as they claim.

It is a bit expensive since it is priced at 595/- but AFAIK there are no better headlamps in 35W, only 60/55W has many options. But since electricals have to altered for supporting 60/55W headlamps & this is just plug & play, I opted for it.

I am from Bangalore and I have a Apache RTR 180 which has completed 23000 kms

I m currently using Shell Semi synthetic oil, but now sudddely there are so many models of the shell oil, i got confused like which one should i go for.

Could you please tell me the exact name of the oil and should i shift to full synthetic as my bike has covered 23000 kms.
