I was wondering.. How come Ceat Vertigo had the perfect up-size & I went for a 120/80 tyre..
Then your next line:- "Its a little more high profile tire, than my last IRC, hence increased diameter.." kept me confused for quite some time..
    Thank you for the correction..

My rear disk is holding back the wheel.Tried cleaning with water, air. Not working. It squeaks while riding.
I think pads have some life left, still planning to change as bike is 3.5 years old and I have no idea when the pad was changed last time.

      Also thinking of studds pannier:
      Studds Accessories Ltd.
Need or a tank bag or saddle(can I ride with pillion with it?)..little confused which way to go..

After tappet adjustment got a mileage of 45.Will have to check again after solving the rear disc issue.

It is normal for the brakes to make sounds & "hold" the disc when ever the pad is removed/replaced..
I'v got new front pads & they were holding my front wheel for nearly 1k km..
You have covered how many km in 3.5 years?? As you need to measure the age of the bike with km..

approx 27k....the pads are currently not replaced or removed..The issue cropped up by itself on one day!Anyway I will replace it and see whether it solves the problem...By 'holding' I meant disc is not letting the rear wheel rotate freely.

My bike needs some servicing soon and the following are the important tasks that need to be done
                        1. Tappet adjustment
                        2. Brake bleeding
                        3. Front fork cone set replacement
                        4. Chain sprocket set replacement
                        5. Battery charging

From what I have seen, TVS SVCs are lazy and skip tasks like tappet adjustment and do tasks like bleeding in a bad manner.
So, I need to know the SVCs in Bangalore which are good enough to take care of the above tasks properly without skipping any. (Tappet adjustment using appropriate sized feeler gauges is very important as the bike has been making noise since a long time)
                        Thanks in advance.
PS If possible, please mention the name of the contact person at the SVC.
Guys, please post the SVCs at which you've had good experiences, preferably with the contact person's name.

Can someone please confirm if old model of RTR 180-ABS is still in production?
My dealer said old Apache model is available only with non-ABS RTRs. I do not want to blindly believe dealers, they will say anything to clear their existing stock

Saw that My bike got skidded to nearly half an foot in front of Me. Luckily for Me, the truck behind Me stopped and was saved. Got up, My right hand had got totally limp, as had taken full force of body on it. Also, I was wearing a helmet and gloves, so avoided other causalities. After I got the bike to side, it turns out that a tempo had dashed Me from behind, as said by a few road people, which sent Me skidding. This was the only thing possible for My accident cause it is My daily route to college and the road is superb, as it is a highway. Got to doctor, had dislocated My arm. Got operated it and now My right arm is stuck to Me for at least 3 weeks. No movement is allowed and possible.

As for the bike, though I saw it skidding such long, The leg guard and sari guard took all the beating. Just the front left indicator got scratched and the main white casing of headlight near visor took a little scars. Other than that, bike runs perfectly(a Friend of Mine told Me). Even then, am giving it to SVC for a check up.

So the thing I would like to say is people please be careful while even riding sanely. Cause You might be sane, but other's might not be. One might not be always lucky as Me. And always wear a helmet, cause it saved a lot casuality in My case. So please be careful, all the time.
Oh yes.. tempo drivers of India are the best drivers in the world. Such godly skills they have.. (sarcasm) .. actually these tempo drivers are the most careless and reckless drivers I've seen in my life, worse than Truck drivers who drive at midnight.
