    As its seems to be remote location for TVS & you, please post any move you make before confirming, if not me, people here will definitely help you.. and remind them again & again to get ABS model on which Apache is written with Silver Steel like metal & on non abs its just sticker...

      Yes sure. I just called them back and the saleslady promissed me to call back around 2-3 pm. lets see. One more thing, the on road price for 180 abs is 90k (including insurance, rto etc) and the ex-showroom price what i get for my place in TVS site is 83,230/- so is it ok ? should i ask for any discount or goodies ?

        Lesser then in Mumbai, in Mumbai it costs around 94-96k... BTW! Ask for Goodies & discount "Puchne Me kya jaata hai"? And Keep few k's for Riding Gears too a Good quality Helmet & Jacket increases your riding Skill & Confidence, Trust Me And do follow Running Period wisely & carefully...

        Take your Bike as in stock condition No Need to put Seat Lamination & any Sticker as such the time bike arrived as, wait for few day's to check bike performance & quality, sometime it might happened that you get some faulty piece or bike with some problem as it's machine after all made by Human, and some time the paint job also get's affected after few day's which you cannot be claim if you have done some sticker or paint job on tank or the place where it's happening. SO Take it as a stock & Check it till Runnin period if all good then Bike is your's...

        Its basicly based on Old RTR but about performance & maintenance it is same for both.

          Help Me Please

          My RTR 180 does not start in the cold .. I have to use the choke to get it started and it staggers for some time..after around 2 kms its normal..37185 on the ODO is it a problem with the tuning or somethings wrong in the engine side?

            Kick Start or E start ? which oil ? check A/F mixture too...

                As you use Self Start it generate more power which may drain or make you battery weak, combustion process may take a longer time in morning so it need's more attempts (use spark plug) , and the more you use self start in morning (in case it didnt turned on in first attempt) more it affects on battery...

                I would recommend Check the acid level in your battery as you using Self start every morning which in other draining the battery making it weak ...

                I would also recommend to use kick start in morning, [that's how we kick start our morning, actually a little warm up too for us] ...there is no hard n fast rule about it but my logic say's electric starts generate more power then it should actually & when your motorcycle is cold for a long time it affects on its , you can experiment too hot too too cold method on your hand too..

                self start in morning is like Waking up some 1 by screaming into his ear with big Band & baaja ... how you feel it ?


                And Electric Start is given for Rider's comfort in Emergency situation but we use it every where

                  @ Shahbaz- Hmm good point. I was thinking to add a seat cover as i heard somewhere that tvs original seats are not good and stitches start loosening soon. But one should try a new bike initially without adding any extra stuff. Its so horrible to even think that one may get a faulty piece. I have already read those faqs by Prateek.
                  Meanwhile i did not get any call back from my local tvs people still now. My dad is in our capital city- Raipur so i asked him to inquire about 180 abs model in raipur tvs showroom and there are some bikes but their cost is 92k something. I talked to the their sales person on phone and asked about the bikes. The bikes have manufacture date September 2012 with 0 reading in odometer. so is it ok to buy 3-4 months old bike from other city ?

                      It's ok to buy a bike with 0 km/h on O.D.O... but just you have to see for Scratches or any thing like that... And dono't trust with what other say's ask user's here who are active & genuine about anything you wanna know about bike ....Seat's are good according to me, initially I've added plastic seat cover on my Seat to protect from Rain but later got to know that its Waterproof too ... People hype things...

                        Well.. Be careful about getting a 3-4 month old bike. Make a super thorough PDI. Check for battery health, rusting parts, throttle response, sounds from bike, scratches, patch up of paint etc. If it has been stored properly, you'll not find any problems.

                        The bike is a delight to ride. SVC is truly a problem. But visit here regularly, and you'll learn to do some essential service yourself. I tune my carb, change the oil and lube the chain myself. Regularly doing this will leave very little to complain about.

                          Madhav - wow glad to know, I always think's that if I will do things on my own my bike will also be superb, but I hardly get's time & I don't want to do things for my bike quickly ...it hurts :|

                            Thank you Shahbaz and Madhav. I can't wait any more. I have ordered the Apache 180 ABS and it will come on 27 or 28th of the month. I am planning to get on 28 as i am bit superstituous too Though they are not giving any discount offer etc but said that there will be a Trade Fair in my city between 11-20 jan 2013 where i can get discount of 1000-2000/- (actually there will be no insurance charges). But guys cant wait for next year lol so i have put an order for this bike. Hope "All IS Well".

                                Thanks mate. for now i need your prayers for my 'would be bike' Not a very big thing, but still feeling the feelings of those who are about to bring some new 'own' bike/vehicle for the first time. Feel like one new family member gonna join us soon lol
