        • Fiddled with the AFR screw... not been able to make it perfect stable. Its dancing with the tolerance of around 0.1-0.2K RPM when kept idling on 3K RPM. Is it okay?
Rode around 2-3 kms. after doing everything so as to get some "reading" on sparkplug. (Is it enough to ride around 2-3 kms. after tuning to get the impression on spark plug?)
Any comments on the pics below will be appriciated... Sorry for bad pic quality. Only have 3.2MP cam on my phone. No digi

Another question. Opened the air filter... Found it weird that it has 2 layers (like two separate filters... they come out of each other) The outer one is about 2-3mm thick and the one inside it is around 5-6mm thick. Sorry if it sounds stupid but I want to get it cleared. Is it same in all bikes or the SVC guys mistakenly put another bike's filter also with mine.
And, does it always remain wet with some petrol/diesel?

              • The picture is not very clear but the spark plug seems to be ok . A more clearer picture would help.

And regarding the air filter, yes there are two foams and it must be wet due to the engine oil which is used to wet it to trap dust better. Clean it with kerosene or petrol and then pour a little oil to help it trap dust better. If you can clean it frequently, then the oil part is not required.

                • Garry your spark plug shows that your AFR is correct.Don't adjust the AF screw anymore.Take a reading after 200 Kms and if it remains the same as now...your AFR is ok and needs no adjustment.
The Air filter is of two density to filter larger and finer particles of dust in air....hence two different layers. You can clean it with Petrol by taking a tray large enough to hold the filter taking enough petrol to soak it and squeeze the foams into the tray to get rid of the dust and muck.Repeat a few times till the foam is clean then DRY IT IN THE SUN for 15 to 20 minutes to allow for full evaporation of Petrol residue.Spread a quality 2T oil on the foam and squeeze out excess. Now install the filter.

Thankz for confirming about the spark plug color, buddy. About the filter, yeah I knew the cleansing process. Just wanted to know about the two different layers.

Thanks sr, Your comment awaited And, could you also tell me that is it normal to have the tacho needle fluttering around with the mentioned tolerance, or is it because it was my first time? I'll not adjust it further if I don't see any change in spark plug color or in riding. But still, wanted to know.

A little wavering of RPM needle within the tolerance mentioned by you is ok.While riding the bike observe if there is a loss of power at the same range, and bike seems to fire and miss...like moving forward one moment and loosing traction next...and again regaining..

Attacking with Tomatoes...at to-day's price ? You must be a rich man Garry.

Yeah, I'm going to look for the same... this is what I felt last time and it made me to play with the AFR... lol... And, also, last time(not today's adjustment) I just blindly rotated it half a turn Anti-clockwise and it resolved the problem of extra vibes felt before it. Hope they don't be back with the same Anyways, even If they'll be back, I'll see to it after some 100 odd kms. till then only observations.

And, about the tomatoes, AFA their use on xBhp is concerned, you can get them for free -->
