I couldn't pass 9k in 5th gear no matter whatever I do. So that's why I got confused..

I got it done for my bike for around 500/- some year back.
Brand name is DuPont. Check the below link for more details.

No Offence bro I was just speaking frankly,

Remember TVS hasn't got any REV Limiter coz they are planning to give up-gradation kit for RTR, which might unleash power beyond Red-Line...

And RTR isn't made for Top/High Speed performance, its for great Mid-Range Torque... one Cannot beat this Menace till 80/kph but after that RTR got no chance...
And Do you think pushing your bike to 12kRPM will Damage Engine Part at sudden ? ? ?
Once in month to push limit with RTR is fine but everyday unleashing its Red line at 4th/5th Cog isn't a Wise move...

Remember "Entry level Racing", this is the bike to improve your Performance & Skills to a Great extent with Amazing Handling...

Why is teflon coating needed? I've always heard it at car showrooms. But i never figured out what it is used for. Does it save your paint from getting scratched or is it just a polish to bring shine to the paint?
I am not agreeing on point of Scratch-Resistance though I do it to Shine my Bike & to Make sure my RTR Stickers will be safe

it costs me 350 last time ... but this time i am planning to do by my self

Its worth doing especially if your bike is black color.
Did some "research" and found out that the main application of teflon is to protect paint from environmental damage, especially dust, humidity and sunlight.
It helps to protect paint from fading out especially in red colored paint like my Apache. Looks like I need to spare a few bucks for this next time. Will any local mechanic do the coating?

I don't think any local mechaninc can do teflon coating. I have seen service centres making tall claims of Teflon coating but actually they just polish the bike with an automated polish machine after applying polish.

Its better done @SVC as they might not have proper equipment s for polishing and buffing.

You need to watch out for those false claims as well and you can easily tell if its teflon coated or not by feeling the paint. And it does help in protecting paint from minor scratches. If you scratch it you will find one additional layer on top of the paint.

I reckon this is due to faulty throttle cable. The same thing happened in my previous RTR (without ABS) i had to change the throttle cable as well as a lubrication around the idle adjuster valve (besides fuel knob). Hope this shud resolve ur issues.

                              If yes on which gear?
I have tried this many a times in my hyperedge & the rev limitter kicks in at 5th gear & I couldn't pass 9k rpm, while in other gears it went till 10.5k rpm (maybe it can go more but not sure haven't tried that as I shifted the gear to 5th at that point).
At what rpm in RTR 160 will the rev limitter kick in?
I had revved the 1st 3 gears till rev limiter. It kicked in around 11.5k IIRC. In 3rd gear, it goes till 99km/h at 11.5k. I don't remember how much exactly it does in 4th, but I remember having taken it beyond 10.5k. The max speed I have done is 133 km/h, (could have got a couple more at least if it wasn't for the stupid drivers in front of me who were going side by side ). But it needs to be totally wind free to get till there. The 5th gear definitely does a lot more than 9k. What is the quickest 0-60 you've managed on the console?

I think RTR180 has rev limiter somewhere beyond 12k as I think it's too risky not to have one. Even if it exists there, it'll be pretty hard to notice. My bet is on 12-12.2k. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
