If possible ask for Motul 3100 Gold SS in 10W30/40 grade 348 INR (15W50 is common as usual and it's the only grade available here in my place). At price point, it's the direct competitor to Shell Advance AX7 SS Don't worry about W30 grade as TVS recommends it.

The only con the AX7 has is that it starts to loose it's actual quality at around 1500-2000km. Maybe this Motul would hold even more.

The Apache is ever willing to red line each cog, but the Rider ain't. Enjoy RTR, Safely. Period.

Sure you can... and all here. Actually, I like it that way and it's easier for you guys too. Now, the throttle cable broke yet again last Tuesday while on my way back home from office. A tick sound was heard and that's it. With all power gone in a snap, somehow I slowed to my side of the road. Had to push the ride to the SVC and reached there at around 5.40pm. The guys were kind enough and replaced the assembly. I think I've been given some symptoms... like the throttle free play (it's bit more with my ride since the purchase), was not that free and smooth since some days. Sometimes engine Rpm was hanging on to 2K for a while and then came down while slowing down at bumps etc. (no wait, it's not the tuning problem, as it ain't happening now). So guys be aware and keep an eye on the throttle behaviour. It's not cool with you stuck in the middle of the road with no power at hand. Ride Safe

          • @Vishal I think posting in the engine oils thread will help you locate more mumbai shell dealers. I'm suprised that shell is so hard to find in a city like mumbai

                  • Hello Folks ! I own an APACHE 180 ABS bike. The ABS system in my bike is not working. I have shown in a few service centers and neither the engineers are trained in ABS nor do they have the appropriate Kits to service the ABS system. I am presently living in bangalore. Please suggest a good service center where i can get the system fixed. TIA

Pcgamer...Well i tried my luck in that section but it is virtually impossible for me to find a conclusive answer..tried a google search on the engine oil thread using various keywords, still no luck...nevertheless Shabby helped me out...A dealer told me this with a bamboozled look on his face" There are no shell petrol pumps in Mumbai, how do you expect me to fetch you shell"s engine oil" - " from Dubai"??.."In Mumbai no one asks for Shell,it doesnt sell". He was offering me Veedol10w40 SS for 370 rs.

Shabby, I feel if we members pool in money& build a few TVS SVC"s, it will outclass all the other substandard, below par SVC"s we have across the country, considering the knowledge pool circulating in this group..its a hypothetical desire which may never be fulfilled...anyways coming to Innovative Tvs -
-Its a strictly average SVC where, morons& zombies come to work giving the entire workplace a government office feel.
-Sales team is busy Facebooking, counter team is busy messaging making your requests fall on deaf years.
-The only saving grace is Kumar, the head supervisor who is cordial & tries his best to resolve the issues, the rest of the mechs,are..............(fill in the blanks with your choice).
-There is this mech called Iqbal who thinks he is the lord of the Svc & who is given the special assignment of conning people(will take his case royally the next time i visit the Svc) & i was also told about a guy called Manoj who does a fabulous job.rest, the lesser said the better.

I am eager to try out Yash Tvs & siddhivinayak Tvs but a bit apprehensive...have you been to Siddhivinayak Tvs?
Or as you said, try an outside dealer.

I've been to 5 Service Center's in Mumbai, & I been to SVC somewhat about 25-30 in last 5 servicing (5months)... you can take my word's seriously

First of all lots of other member's opinion's are almost same about all SVC's here so glad I'm not the odd one out !!!

Vishal - Kumar according to me is a big cheating person, he is mean fox who always tries to be sweet in front of you & I swear he know's nothing about bike he is dependent on his mechanic name Nizaam who as per TVS is head mechanic & who is expert in Apache 180 ABS model's.And Rest are always like that Facebooking, Flirting & Texting....Nizam thinks himself bigger then everybody out there...

Iqbal is good somehow as you said ...BTW !!! never ever trust them I've encountered hell experience with those people on the scale I rate Innovatie 1 out of 5 & other's are in negative.... It's such a sad scenario which TVS should be aware of & I like your idea of running a SVC in Mumbai from Mumbai XBHP Rider's by Rider's for Rider's .....

And Never ever go to any other SVC apart from Ashwini & Innovative never never... Yash is one of the most disgraceful & cheap SVC I ever saw in my life they are bunch of Dumb & Dumber's.. Sidhivinyak is a shit too (dropped my helmet last Saturday & showing attitude now)....

Only good thing is i want from Apache Mumbai user's are to Fire a mail to concern person telling the whole story about Service Center, what's the scenario & all if you all can....I've got the email id's if you want ask me it would do some good may be

I know person Name Anuj Singh who is very helpful from TVS so whatever happen's now I just directly contact him & let him handle situation, he is Territory Manager.

Vishal - I Will be at Innovative this Sunday if you want join me there....you will come to know about everything there about Kumar & All :|

TO be Very Frank I don't trust on TVS SVC now & i don't recommend anybody to buy TVS just coz of servicing issue's else if you can service outside & don't want warranty then Yeah TVS Apache is one of the best stock bike to have without a doubt!

                            • Is it Shabby?? i thought Kumar was a genuine guy..I agree that he is sometimes, at a loss for answers...guess will have to evaluate & analyze him again. this time i am not going to spare them with my questions. i feel no one over there is an expert. I say this because i get to hear answers that i already know.

Iqbal is a lump of S**T...the way he acts clearly shows that he is an attention seeker..i have observed him make long unnecessary bills ( for me too ) ...were you asked to clean a part called "convertor" on your bike? its found under the tank..it seems that the part plays an important role in mileage & pickup maintainence!! i was charged a whopping 300rs for it.

Why only Mumbai users, i feel we all should get together on a pre decided day&date and shoot mails to the TVS head Honchos & literally spam their Inbox...even a rocket needs fire under it for take off !!

It feels sick when you see your helmet fall & get scratched....What time will you be coming? I am free from 9 to 12.
