By top speed I mean when i reach that speed my bike starts lagging as if there is no fuel in my bike. It even left carbon from the silencer. Consulted svc and they told me that you block piston is worn out and needs to be replaced and it would cost Rs 5000. Since I was not in financial condition I did not get that repaired at that time. 3 days back I got block piston replaced from one of my mechanic. I rode 250 Kms after that but i still feel somewhere something is missing. I don't get that typical "RTR" punch. Can anyone suggest me what needs to be done? And why would I face this problem just within 3 years/ 30000kms of purchase or my bike.
      Reason.? Bad run in.

Thats no suggestion my friend, its just a thought wondering what would it be like if they do so?? Less spares availablein future, but a lot of demand and urge to get it back! Like the RX

Using the bike to the minimum, have few assignments lined up, will give for thorough check up after that. And yes its true, that TRU4 could not handle the way I ride
Just waiting for Spiti ride of this year, will use SS during that, and then good bye to my White Angel
Oh. I see. I hope you keep on helping the RTR juniors like me here in fixing the beasts' problems even after you sell yours
          So, you're getting a D390 and a GT650R?

Exactly buddy. When I said who ever suggests that, I didn't mean you. I mean who ever the person in the company who us responsible for it. When it comes to rx and rd, don't toy wish who ever had got the company to stop producing it, didn't exist.?

Till the first 1000 kms please dont rev the bike above 5K RPM that's it.. & yes dont forget change the engine oil & oil filter after 500-700 kms.

                  Ride Safe.
Thanx, no, i am born & brought up in Maharashtra & well,i have largely stuck to keeping the rpm till 4k/below 40 till now ( covered 124km) while i did take it up to 48/50 & touched 5k on rpm for a second though i quickly brought it down as i slowly want to raise the load to the engine & make it accustomed to the varying loads according to what most xhpian's have told to do during the running-in

Only after I posted it, I noticed it, and you're right. The way she's looking at the camera justifies it

                      • @prateek: thanks a lot for that bud. Haha.. time to get married.. lol.. sad. !!

Anyway, my mechanic had fiddled with something he called the cam chain tension which I learned that it can't be adjusted. Any idea what this is in that case.?

He removed the cover by unscrewing it and then put the screw driver in the hole and acted as if he was tuning it.
Will be really grateful for any info. Thanks

                          • Dear brothers. I've come to a decision after I found another bolt is missing from my headlamp assembly. I've decided to check and see if every screw and bolt is in place before and after each ride. BTW, the side grip or whatever it is at the right side got loose today and was hanging upside down. Tightened it myself. Make sure everything is properly tightened before and after a ride.

This grip at right side is the one which is tightened with the shock absorber.

That's what I thought, but apparently the rtr has self adjusting springs which cannot be adjusted.

                              • Can someone list out the problems for the lack of top speed and pick up, it only reaches 116km per hour.
I used to ride at 100km per hour without any tension- meaning bike used to go smoothly; now when i ride above 90, it feels like i'm forcing the the bike to do which it doesn't want to do.

I changed the carburetor diaphragm 3 months back, could that have been spoiled? I'm so worried right now.
