            Hi,
I called up Ramkay TVS and they said no info on ABS as of now and said it may take another month or even two... Has ABS started selling in any other parts of the country?

I have done that scraping thingy fair many times.Twice I think, from the service people. It's been three effing months and I cannot figure out,how much more usage does it need! Right now,my braking is done using 90:10 Front-rear usage.
Get a WD40spray. The reason like u said, its true, the pads rub against the disc and make a scratching noice. They even damage the disc. Well do one thing
get a WD40 spray, and spray it in between the pads and caliper assembly. It removes the rust and dirt. The actual reason is that, when u apply the brakes, the pads contract but due to dirt and rust they do not retian theri position and hence each time they shrink closer, that makes the scratching noice. Alternatively if u can try is what, open the disc assembly, and apply water with lot of pressure and just drop 2-3 drops of oil, i repeat oil, well it has done wonders but this will catch dirt again.
                Go for WD40 i recommend.

                • Mods im sorry if I am posting this in the wrong place.

Hey guys my name is Tushar.
I own a RTR 160 carburetor model. Ill be buy the 170cc big bore and freeflow exhaust from Joel shortly.
He said that, with the big bore and ffe, there would be around 4bhp increase in my bike.
                  i.e 15.2+4=19.2bhp I guess.

With that much power I want more top-end from my bike. So which sprockets should I fit on my bike to get more topspeed but without much loss of acceleration?

Also what is the true topspeed if RTR 160 carb model?

                  Thanks in advance guys!

With performance gains of over 4 bhp,the top-end will substantially increase.Do one thing, first get all these mods done.Check if there's any(there must be!) increase in the top-end.If you are satisfied with it,fine. If not, then you can anytime fiddle with the sprockets..
If you ride like there's no tomorrow...worry not there won't be!

Big-bore and ffe both doesn not increase topspeed. It increases horsepower and torque.

For ex- If stock rtr does 100kmph in 15secs then with bigbore n ffe, it may do the same 100kmph in, say 9-10 secs.
Topspeed only changes by changing the gearing of bike. For ex- Gearbox, sprocket, wheelsize, tyres etc

                      • guys even though there is a little fuel on the left hand side of the tank the bike refused to start today.it was frustrating as i had to push the bike for 2 kms....i tried tilting the bike but no use. also i think the mileage has dropped and also it feels as though the bike is getting clogged at 2.5-3.5K rpm
