You are right.. I chkd with the dealer, the ABS was kept for display and it was there for a few days only.

After which the guys from TVS confisticated the ABS back due to some policy issues. The worst part is he was sure that it will take anywhere between a month to two before it comes up for sale.

This is with respect to Chennai only, not sure about other parts of the country..

I recently got a 55/60 Philips one (Its not a projector though) and it flickers whenever I use Indicators or Horn. But apart from that, its very bright and serves the purpose !

@ ssugadhanam : Doesnt the Headlight get too hot due to HID? wont it be a problem for the reflectors within the headlight ??

How much did it cost you? Seeing that brightness, I'm sure that battery would require frequent replacement !

People dont take the pain of rewinding and reconfiguring the circuits out of stupidity. Our bikes are not designed for HIDs. The stock charging circuit is simply not capable enough to support the battery for HID use. Anyway, whenever you need you can do it. We have a dedicated thread for the dc conversion of the RTR.

BTW, nice projector. Which one is it? Got the solenoid thingy for high and low? Also, I'd advice you to go for 4300k HID, coz higher the temperature the visibility (for rider) in rain/fog/smog is terrible.

Well nothin with the batt as of now the cost incurred to me for the projector was 4k odd (includes HID bulb n angels) and some extra 100 bucks to make it run from the batt and make sure the batt nvr went outta charge ...thts a secret for sure

Thnx mate... i hv already visited the DC thread there also same coil rewinding theory. here i did nothin like tht and it is actually DC. the HID runs evn when the engine is cut-off . 5.4k is the purest white (simulates noon time like light), 4.3k is like early morning light a bit low on brightness. the max i cud get was 5k

its some 3' projector used in 4 wheeler... luckily it fits our stock lamps . yeah it hs tht solenoid thingy inside it.
