Got a new nut from a mechanic.
Did everything to make the projector set up work. Now light is there, still less than that of my splendor.Problem lies with the projector itself,as there is some damage(somebody dropped it during installation)
Going to swap head with duke most probably and use stock lights for time being.
Any one knows from where to source custom headlights like the ones you see on dirt track/stunt modified bikes?

Any white smoke coming from exhaust as you ride or revv up ?
Or do you have a leaking head gasket or drain bolt is not properly fixed ? Check these out. Burning out oil and that too in this less kms seem's very unnatural.

        Cheers

No white smoke, no leaking, nothing. Burning meaning the oil has turned blackish and the gear shifts have turned rough.
The level of is the same.

Please tell the grade, brand of oil used. Also possible that you got fake oil.
Change oil+filter and constantly keep on checking the condition.

Haha.. well, that was stock oil. Is there any oil I can use which will last me longer.?

                    • If you've clocked more than 7000kms - Motul 3100 Gold 10W30, Shell Advance AX7 10W40. Both are semi-synthetic engine oils costing approx. 350 INR and nicely holds till around 2500kms/3-4 months.

Motul 5100 ester 4T (SS) is much better and will hold even longer (around 5000kms), but is not available in W30, W40 grades.

Go for Shell Advance Ultra 10W40 FS oil it will easily last 6-8k km & its more "value for money" than Motul, everything else is the same..

Ok. Will do that. I'll have my smoothness for atleast 3k kms right ?

                          • I too have used the Shell Advance Ultra 10W40. Must say it's a very good FS engine oil at 750 INR. But, noticed drop in oil level at alarming rates. Had to buy a spare bottle for top ups. So wasn't easy on my pocket (Drifty bro too have experienced this with the Ultra).

Using Advance AX7 now. Peace of mind, assured.

The smoothness will run for atleast 5-6k km, after which it will run like a new liter of TVS oil(well,almost).. So, you can do 6+2k km on that oil..!!

My bike had a major oil leak from the engine head but the oil lasted for ~8k km, BUT, yes, the oil level had dropped down to 400ml & oil was changed asap..

Motul, renowned in its class, you can try Valvoline, and if you can find Petronas
                                All the best
On Topic: I had thought of using Motul 5100, but it is not available in xW40 currently. The 2013 batch of Motul seems to be bringing back the 5100 in 10W40.

I'd love to use it but the oil level drop problem scares me...
