For low revs up-jetting is not required..
Cost is Rs1.4k but got it for Rs1.2k..
Except FI bikes , all carb-ed bikes needs to do upjetting or else its an high chance that your bike will either run rich or lean

the TPS and throttle should move in together. And at full throttle the tps should show a yellow mark

I spoke to few mechanics & did some research work.. The Pilot jet is responsible for supplying fuel till the half throttle position & the main jet supplies fuel from half throttle to full throttle..If the bike can sustain the idle rpm without any jerks/knocks or going off for a whole day, the pilot jet works fine & supplies the required fuel to maintain a steady FA ratio..When the bike runs after the half to full open throttle without knocks/jerks & steady acceleration the main jet supplies the required fuel to maintain the FA ratio BUT if a knock/chock up-jetting is required, as more air = leaner FA ratio..
And one more method to check the FA is by:-"The mixture can also be judged by removing and scrutinizing the spark plugs. black, dry, sooty plugs indicate a mixture too rich; white to light gray plugs indicate a lean mixture. A proper mixture is indicated by brownish-gray plugs."(copy-paste from wiki)..
So far I feel the main jet need up-jetting..

What are you expecting by modifying it with Air Filters ? Increase in performance ?

@kantu: I expected better throttle response & a smoother ride.. & I got both.. Total reduction of vibrations from the engine..

Yep. If you dont want to spend 1k you can buy GS150 air filter @200 rs it does its job well on RTR. Running it from past 5k kms. You can notice only better throttle response.

Mechanics/Shopkeepers told me the K&N in over priced, gives better air intake & more dust intake as well.. K&N costs around 2k.. You can get a good quality paper filter for Rs850 , which are also good..
If you can use the GS150 air filter by spending 200rs.. Its the best..!!

Thanks. Does the GS150's filter smoothen the engine and reduce the vibrations too? Any sort of upjetting needs to be done? Any change in the exhaust note?

You better ask Kantu for details about the GS150's filter..
In general:-The Exhaust note remains unchanged(or very slightly) BUT the intake sound makes the bike louder & combines with the exhaust note..
Up-jetting is a trial & error method, you may or may not need to do it..

The thing I noticed was ,the bike on stock filter faces a lot of knocking/jerking at idle rpm & the idle rpm is not constant(i.e, continuously fluctuating )..Even the spark plug used to show signs of a rich mixture..
After putting a Crossworth, the idle rpm is stable & spark plug remains clean(ish). The F-A mixture appears to be near perfect & this has reduced the knocking/jerking. But the result is a combination of Aftermarket filters & FS oil..
