thinking of modifying the tachometer with a white backlight and a custom background..plz help guys and if possible do post an instructible...
Digi meter/ Tachometer, is completely embedded though one with professional & expert can change LED i guess, its embedded on board you have to desoldier blue one & have to add White one ... and adding custom background is something not possible.

If you are good in soldering then why need tutorial ? and just think again about this embedded job buddy... Adding custom background is something not possible i guess as its not a intelligent sytem its just a back light on back what you can do is adding a image (paper or sticker) between Glass & Board I suppose.Originally posted by udai48 View Postde soldering and resoldering would not be a problem coz i am quite used to that..hope one can help with some tutorial or something..

Got the TPS changed.Earlier i had said to the mechanic that something is wrong with the TPS, he didn't listen and again cleaned the carb and even after that the hiccup was still there, eventually the TPS was changed under warranty.Originally posted by Viscmad View PostPost a pic of your spark plug and tps with full throttle.
Check if the tps starts to come out with opening of the throttle. I.e. As soon as you open the throttle the tps should start to come out.Apache RTR 180 2011 | Honda Activa 2010 | CBZ Xtreme 2010 (1 month) |Apache 160 FI 2009-2010

Hey Guys..
I recently put a Crossworth air filter, now the bike's vibration has reduced drastically or you can say, someone stole the vibrations
..No vibration till 110kmph, the ride between 50-95 sees no vibrations at all..The throttle response is smooth, acceleration is become even more crazy & the roar of the bike pass the 6k rpm range will just put a huge grin..I found a increase of 2-3kmpl fuel efficiency (but too early to confirm). The only problem is chocking past the 8.5-9.5k rpm mark. Overall experience of bike with the cross filter is excellent.I wish the bike comes with better stock filter..After a ride on aftermarket filter feels the RTR had serious cold/cough.

Umm guys: couple of questions.
1.I just got my bike, and the owners manual says to keep her below 50kmph. But I've read on Prateek sir's FAQs to keep her under 5K rpm. That's approx. 65kmph. What should I follow??
2.I'm getting a slight sound around 45-50kmph. Like the sound the air filling pipes at the petrol bunks make, only fainter.. getting worried.
3.What is TPS?
4.What is Up-Jetting??
Don't matter what it is: Touring; Racing; Commuting. All I know is, I belong on the saddle.

2. Could'nt get you.
3. TPS stands for Throttle Position Sensor/System. It senses the bikes throttle postion and send it to the Tci for advance ingnition mapping.
4. Up-jetting is done in the carb. Where we increase the size of the main jet.Last edited by Viscmad; 09-17-2012, 03:44 PM.FAQs-RTR owners
