Just 6.5k.. any reason why after 10/12k? Because the engine will be fully seasoned only then.?Originally posted by vivekgautams View PostBro, How many km have you covered on bike..?(It is better if you shifted to FS after 10/12k km..)
Go for FS, it is worth it.. BUT just keep a check on the oil levels..

Bro, I dont think you would remember but ages back you had suggested me the sameOriginally posted by Rtrlover83 View PostI too have used the Shell Advance Ultra 10W40. Must say it's a very good FS engine oil at 750 INR. But, noticed drop in oil level at alarming rates. Had to buy a spare bottle for top ups. So wasn't easy on my pocket (Drifty bro too have experienced this with the Ultra).
Using Advance AX7 now. Peace of mind, assured.
, I had got Shell Advance Ultra then and never looked back since! It really is a great oil, had reduced the vibes by a great extent! And yeah, the level drops quite quickly and I too have a spare bottle for topping up

Well, yea, but I ride at high revs and I guess 6.5k kms of my riding is equal to 9-10 k kms of sedate riders, since its the amount the engine has run and not the tyres. What say.? Does it make sense or should I wait ?Originally posted by vivekgautams View PostYes, "seasoning"..
So that any metal pieces/bits/dust gets drained out easily with Mineral or SS oil.. OR its just a legend..

My bike has never seen me shifting below 6k rpm & 95% of those ~8k km was on highway @90-100kmph... Don't worry it will last 8k++ km..
Just wait for the 3rd service atleast then shift over to FS..

No buddy, I meant, isn't that sort of riding for 6.5k kms enough seasoning.? And my bike has got set serviced many times.its quite old but was kept aside for quite long..Originally posted by vivekgautams View PostMy bike has never seen me shifting below 6k rpm & 95% of those ~8k km was on highway @90-100kmph... Need advice on buying second hand RTR
I found some good OLX post about RTR 180 2012 version and its very closer to my place. So I'm thinking of checking it out on this Saturday. Before that I need some advice as this will be my first bike. I've no bike experience previously.
What things should I check or ask to the owner ?.

What things should I check or ask to the owner ?.Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!

I recently picked up a second hand RTR 180.Originally posted by hypheni View PostI found some good OLX post about RTR 180 2012 version and its very closer to my place. First of all:http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/universa...sed-bikes.html
Check the tire wear, compare it with km's run,to see that the odometer is true.
Ask about run in of engine,to see whether it got a good run in or not.
Ask mileage he is getting.
Test ride the bike..must rev freely and fast like any RTR would.
Try to go to a showroom to get a TD,compare it with the bike.
Check service history."Vibes transmitted from crank shaft to frame, then through the bearings of the head stock and into the stem where it meets the triple clamp and into the clip-ons where it is greeted with great pleasure by my hands"-ratfighter mod rtr

Okay. I'm done with TVS SVC. Can anyone tell me where the handlebar cone is? And how I can adjust it/check it so that I can see if it is the culprit of the wobbling? And my vehicle drags to the left. I only notice the drag when I try doing a christ(I love this stunt). So how can I fix this myself? Any tutorials/ experiences?Don't matter what it is: Touring; Racing; Commuting. All I know is, I belong on the saddle.
Rides : Honda CB Twister(Feb 2011 - Present) | TVS Apache RTR 180 ABS(Sept 2012 - May 2016) | Honda CBR250R C-ABS Repsol(March 2017 - Present)

I had faced the same wobbling when handle inputs were give.. I was able to pinpoint the problem when I put the bike on center stand & turned the handle bar to the left & right, I noticed that the free ply was not uniform.Originally posted by madhav766 View PostOkay. If you have the same prob. the adjustment is simple..Open the 2 allen sockets(you need allen keys for this) on the handle bar just next to the RTR logo, then you will get a nut after you remove the cover, Adjust the nut(quite a big one & mostly you need to loosen the nut). & put back everything the right way & you are done.
