    • Gotta go to first service tomorrow, ODO : 450

I'm very existed and happy to complete Engine Run in and do the first service, I know proper running in is like 1K km.

I'm experiencing a problem with ABS which is, I wanted to test ABS in realtime so I once ride in 50 km and applied full front brakes but I felt like some one is stopping me from pressing the break, I couldn't even press the lever half (front tyre) and also some weird sounds started to came so I released breaks, sometime after that I again tried but that time breaking was perfect vehicle stopped perfectly and there wasn't any sounds !! I took a ride with my friend's RTR 180 ABS to verify and I did exactly what I did in my bike and it was perfect in his bike like the second time in mine, now I'm little bit afraid to apply ABS @ high speeds !! Anyway I'm going to report this in SVC.

How I ride my beast through running in period

      Always under 4 RPM.
Gear shifts at 3.5 to 4 RPM.
      No continuous rides.
      No sudden acceleration.
      Chose highways mostly.
Top speed recorded : 85 km just once.

These are the problems I faced in my first 500 km period (Gonna address these at SVC)

      Very low rear break.
One of rear indicator bend mfg problem.
Some stains at backlight areas and some other spots(I asked about this when vehicle delivered and they said it'll go away if you clean it using any bike wash but couldn't get rid of it).
Very high engine heat like engine is burning just after a 12 km ride.
      Battery liquid leak.
Apache metal logo not sticked well.
Vehicle is vibing very much at even low RPMs like 4 .
A bit paint is gone in side area of Tank (mfg condition)
I want to remove saree guard because I don't usually have female pillions , Is good or bad ? I hope it'll increase looks of the bike right ?
      Teflon Coating

What do you guys think about this ?

Any advice/suggestions will be very much welcomed and appreciated.

Do I need to pay anything @ SVC for simple jobs like Removing saree guard, changing bulb, adjusting break ??

How much it'll cost for first service (I know it'll vary but how much should I keep in my pocket) ??

But keep changing speeds (rpm) & dont ride constantly at 3k or 4k rpm.. so better choose a busier route

        Battery liquid leak.
It will leak, since it is not a maintenance free battery. There is a small pipe connected to battery and the acid will go through it, hence should not be a problem.

You will not have to pay for minor tasks like changing bulb etc..

The main cost for the service will be the engine oil (costs around 270) and oil filter (around 40 bucks). Other than that, there will be some consumables and stuff & the total will not exceed 400.

Congrats once again, No need to worry at all your ABS is working perfectly fine... You feel jerk ( felt like some one is stopping me from pressing the break) is what ABS does, to stop you from locking your wheel by pulling lever tightly, you will feel jerk & once you feel it ABS will pump your brake by its own no need to worry at all, & ABS wont come in pitcure everytime you press brake, you will only feel it when you're wheels are locking up due to Extreme braking or Immediate stop...

Very low rear break. About rear brake, its not an issue, you may feel rear is little slow in stopping vehicle compare to front but its same for all vehicle, see the petal disc dimension of front & compare with rear you will get your answer.

One of rear indicator bend mfg problem.
Some stains at backlight areas and some other spots(I asked about this when vehicle delivered and they said it'll go away if you clean it using any bike wash but couldn't get rid of it).

Battery liquid leak. It must be acid though :P
Apache metal logo not sticked well. Cost 80 Buy another one & replace it
Vehicle is vibing very much at even low RPMs like 4 . NO COMMENTS ITS BIGGEST DEMERIT OF RTR
A bit paint is gone in side area of Tank (mfg condition) - Change under warranty
I want to remove saree guard because I don't usually have female pillions , Is good or bad ? I hope it'll increase looks of the bike right ? - I Personally prefer Stock Saree Guard
Teflon Coating - No Need to do Teflon Coating, buy your own kit in that price & do it whenever you want ...

What do you guys think about this ?

            Replies in Bold...

Don't pay for small job, anyways you are giving for Free servicing so mentioned this all in your job sheet & they will do it... Adjusting "Break" or "make" comes under servicing...

                • I use the same wax. It's pretty decent for our bikes. I feel turtle wax is too expensive for bikes.

I am not really sure flipping the sprocket is a good idea. If you observe the teeth of the sprocket, they are not same on either side (one side has more slope), so not sure if it will affect the chain or not.

When I shifted from 14T to 15T, the bike felt a lot smoother, mostly because the chain slack was also properly adjusted. If the chain is too tight, it can add to the vibrations.
If this is not the case, then even I am curious how the bike became smoother

                            • Guys I'm planning to get MRF Zapper Vyde fitted in a couple of days, what do you guys think about the tyre? I have read that it's a medium soft compound and it's fairy good tyre for street usage. Has anybody tried this tyre? Also, are there any alternatives for that price range?(2.5 - 2.7k)

The bike didn't became more smooth or vibration free, its just the that the noise is gone. Even I had thoughts about fliping & as usual going to service centre was not an option because they always have similiar replies for these so called small problems & never care to listen just like one of those adds on TV where the Computer service man replies "restart karo!" without even caring that the PC is not starting up. @Adarsh: how is the performance with 15 teeth? Any problems in initial acceleration or in hill climbing? assuming that you were using 160's sprocket.
