Instead of putting your replies in the quote itself, why can't you simply type it below or above it. Saves lot of time, for you and everybody else.

You get the message "your message is too short" when these idiot computers think that you have not typed anything in the reply field, and thats because you don't write where you are supposed to. Instead you have your own strange ways of replying.

You don't write in the question paper itself, you have to write in the answer sheet, otherwise all you will get is a big zero. Got the logic?

As much as I can understand from their behaviour, the head uncle (the workshop head) ain't bad in nature but he doesn't know about stuffs and thats why he refuses to put the oil taken to them by me (it was Shell Advanced 20w40 mineral) as he said that it doesn't matches to the "recommended grade"

Can you tell me where did you get to see/read/listen that recommended oil grade for RTRs is Xw40?
read the manual carefully, it's written in manual,
& it's better if SVC guys don't allow you to put the oil of perfect grade than simply take the bike with 10w30 filled & make sure you buy extra oil filter Rs. 35/- & go to some local mach & change it with new oil filter old 10w30 oil you can you it for time-pass

Well, if it is not the bad tuning problem as described by you, then I doubt your piston rings might be leaking the engine oil and the oil is getting burnt along with the fuel which is a real serious problem and should be rectified ASAP (if it is there).

Do one thing, put your hand close to the exhaust while the bike is idling and feel if the smoke has some amount of oil vapours in that. You can also check the exhaust mouth. If the mouth is oily/sticky, then you surely are the victim of this problem.

I've tried to make them understand but they said they can't act upon my thoughts. Let the company provide instructions to them, they'll happily oblige

Well, about the second suggestion, I've already talked to the Head Service Engineer, TVS Delhi. He said that whenever you go to SVC, just drop me a call, I'll make them consider your case as an exception and they'll not change my engine oil in this service. So, I can go to some mechanic and pour the oil I already have

I checked the exhaust, there is nothing oily/stickyon the mouth, just black carbon deposits. I also checked the spark plug its black again after 100 km. I noticed something when I reve the bike at asteady pace to the redline I dont see any black smoke, but when i twist the throttle suddenly for a few times the smoke appears, I also smell some strange burning smell I reve the engine hard.

C'mon Yaar, just stop putting ..... and ...... after every two or three words.Even after mod-warnings you are doing this

The infinite number of dots that you put in your posts is an eyesore and the post is simply uninteresting to read. The way you write sentences is like someone stammering while in a speech. Please, avoid using them.I believe, instead of taking offence on that you will take it as a constructive criticism.

                      Back to the topic:

Rear-disc is constantly making noise! I have found the problem, the plate is bent and at a particular point it rubs with pads, jamming the wheel.Brakes are kind of self-locking now.Any remedies for this? Rear-plate has been changed just 3-4 months back.Bike's handling at low speeds/around corners is simply unnerving!

Should I go and bang service people's heads for this?
If you ride like there's no tomorrow...worry not there won't be!

                        • Problem with the display and tach needle

Hi guys. Bought A180 . Its just a month old and done with first servicing. I trucked my bike from chennai to goa. My dad told me he had undone the fuse. I connected the fuse and tried starting the bike. The self start works, so does the headlamps and indicators but the display just isn't... When you turn it on, all the display light come on and tach takes a full twist right? none of that is happening and here's the most weirdest thing. When I'm in neutral, the neutral light keeps 'blinking' and it goes on blinking even when I turn the ignition OFF. In case my lights are ON, the tach needle and the display(the entire blue light), blinks with it. Just to keep all this 'blinking' off, I kill the engine when I'm in first gear. I'm gonna be taking it to service center in a few day. I was just wondering if its something minor that I can fix myself?? Any take on this?
Overtaking in unnecessary if the person in front of you is traveling at your desired speed or more

Remove the fairing, and check all the connectors going in and out. Should be something loose somewhere. IF issue persists, take to SVC. Dont worry too much. Bike will run without a working console too

I'm not that expert yaar. Yeah, the carb tuning, spark plug etc play important factors... If the smoke is always there... better take it to SVC - is all I can say.

Get the disc changed. Its not at all good to have a deformed disc. BTW, any idea how it happened. I've had my front disc bent... but back?

First of all, check the tip of your spark plug for what colour it is.I guess the black smoke may be due to improper/partial combustion of fuel when running rich.
Check the carburator and engine oil too....

currently my engine kill switch is gone not working . i insist svc at least open it and check whether any wire is loose ,disconnected or shorting .and he is just repeatedly saying
