Braking under hard conditions can be avoided if the rider is alert....ABS is a good option but only if you own a entry level SBK or more than that....well the end part is only that its required for bikes which travel over 150 odd or even 170kmph.....the RTR is developed with both side Disk brake which is very apt for the engine and output.....my personal view is 87 to be utter costly regardless of new competitors in the market!!!! and FOREMOST ACCORDING TO SAFETY!!!!

PS: Don't use too many smileys in your posts for it will attract the mods who in turn are going to warn you.
I completely understand but just gave a view point....i still feel the current Apache to be best and preferred instead of the ABS version!!!!!

Dude, I asked you to show me the proof where one can see/read/listen that Xw40 is the recommended grade for RTR. Not for myself, but I want it to show it to the SVC guys who aren't ready to accept it. They said. if you can get the permission of TVS to use that grade of oil then we will happily let you put that oil in your bike.

I can find only this from the web....I think I mentioned earlier in my reply to check the Engine Oil container ! ! !..

Do you mean that all the accidents that occur involving bikes are due to the lack of attention or laziness of rider? An alert rider is definitely a way better than those who take it easy more than required while riding, but no matter how much alert you are when you have a kid whose mind suddenly hit with the thought of getting to the other side of the road JUST before your bike passes him, when the vehicle in front of you applies brake and you have to apply brakes on gravel or wet patch and much more panic conditions.

              •
Can somebody kindly explain me what these replies contribute(Those dots are to fullfill the minimum message length critera here ! ! !) to the thread? I see this as if made intentionally for increasing the post(I never thought of it..until now...and I dont understand whats going to happen if I have a larger count) count rather than a form of contribution!(I will suggest you..to please look back the replies again....CAREFULLY ! ! !...Sometimes I miss multi Quote coz by the time I post 3-4 replies already wld have poured in...and its a teadious job again to use the multi reply quote again and edit ! ! !)
This format of reply is easy for me....and nobody till now has ever complained ! ! !.....U have any issues..u can cry infront of the mods...And its highly advisable not to jump to conclusions on somebody in a public forum...without the knowledge of the issue ! ! !....

Well, the article/post (the link) you posted here was published in 2006 and the oil mentioned there is TVS TRU4. And, the current oil TVS is using is TVS TRU4 Premium which is 10w30. They told me "bhaiya ye jo grade ka oil aap laaye ho ye puraani bikes (though even I can't understand which puraani bikes they were trying to refer) mein dalta tha... ab nayi technology mein oil jaldi flow karne ko mangta hai" . And, if I give them the "proof" what you provided, it will support their own statement instead of proving mine.

Exactly why I'm wondering for you to do such a thing. Btw. ur aggression towards other members (atlest me) you can keep it urself as it just shows ur immature behaviour amongst the rest in this forum Mr. Kantu.

Not everything can be accommodated according to your convenience. Rather than arguing, try to see the logic.

                            • Guys, I rode the bike in rain for the 1st time (Bought in Jan) and I mist say. it wasnt as bad as everyone here says it is. i was able to ride comfortably in 70 kmph and even tried hard braking (not panic breaking though ) . The tyres dint skid even a bit. I'm really impressed. My plans of buying MRF ones are out, atleast for now !!
