Can somebody kindly explain me what these replies contribute to the thread? I see this as if made intentionally for increasing the post count rather than a form of contribution!

We all wear all protective gear if we are going to offices....i personally promote wearing all of it and keep it in the safe once reached office!!!!!!Originally posted by kantu....................
Braking under hard conditions can be avoided if the rider is alert....ABS is a good option but only if you own a entry level SBK or more than that....well the end part is only that its required for bikes which travel over 150 odd or even 170kmph.....the RTR is developed with both side Disk brake which is very apt for the engine and output.....my personal view is 87 to be utter costly regardless of new competitors in the market!!!! and FOREMOST ACCORDING TO SAFETY!!!!Last edited by Eshan-P180; 04-20-2011, 06:12 PM.sigpic

I completely understand but just gave a view point....i still feel the current Apache to be best and preferred instead of the ABS version!!!!!Originally posted by Makky View PostI believe that you 're new to the forum. Well, this thread is meant for 'TVS Apache RTR 180 ownership experiences'. And we, Apache owners don't like when someone compares RTR with other bikes, especially it's competitors. And moreover, this place(read-thread) isn't for brand wars. |PEACE|
PS: Don't use too many smileys in your posts for it will attract the mods who in turn are going to warn you.

TVS Motor launches TVS TRU4 engine oil -Originally posted by Garry_Menace View PostOh, okay got it. Thanks for the information, bro
@Pritish

Dude, I asked you to show me the proof
where one can see/read/listen that Xw40 is the recommended grade for RTR. Not for myself, but I want it to show it to the SVC guys who aren't ready to accept it
. They said. if you can get the permission of TVS to use that grade of oil then we will happily let you put that oil in your bike.
I can find only this from the web....I think I mentioned earlier in my reply to check the Engine Oil container ! ! !..Nothing feels better than to gear up and burn some rubber ! ! !

Do you mean that all the accidents that occur involving bikes are due to the lack of attention or laziness of rider?
An alert rider is definitely a way better than those who take it easy more than required while riding, but no matter how much alert you are when you have a kid whose mind suddenly hit with the thought of getting to the other side of the road JUST before your bike passes him, when the vehicle in front of you applies brake and you have to apply brakes on gravel or wet patch and much more panic conditions.

Well, the article/post (the link) you posted here was published in 2006 and the oil mentioned there is TVS TRU4. And, the current oil TVS is using is TVS TRU4 Premium which is 10w30. They told me "bhaiya ye jo grade ka oil aap laaye ho ye puraani bikes (though even I can't understand which puraani bikes they were trying to referOriginally posted by pritish View PostTVS Motor launches TVS TRU4 engine oil -

) mein dalta tha... ab nayi technology mein oil jaldi flow karne ko mangta hai"
. And, if I give them the "proof"
what you provided, it will support their own statement instead of proving mine.

Just make a call from their showroom to any TVS engineer...and make that guy thrash his back ! ! !....

Guys, I rode the bike in rain for the 1st time (Bought in Jan) and I mist say. it wasnt as bad as everyone here says it is. i was able to ride comfortably in 70 kmph and even tried hard braking (not panic breaking though
) . The tyres dint skid even a bit. I'm really impressed. My plans of buying MRF ones are out, atleast for now !!
