Guys, I was revving my bike on center stand after a thorough washing. You know why that's done. Anyways, at and above 7k RPMs the speedo begins to show kms.

It's not supposed to when the front wheel is stationary, isn't it? The speedo showed up to 25kms, I think. Would like to know what could be the reason, if anyone experienced this before.

Is there anything about which I should be concerned?

So let me get this straight, you revved a cold bike, and that too above 7k+ in neutral.

Get the sensor checked, errors like this happen on digital speedo's most of the time. I'm facing a similar issue on my ZMA when keeping steady at 80k the needle vibes and some users have also experienced the same on the ZMA, when throttle was given in Neutral and past 6~7k needle would jump.

I too got a new rear tyre, MRF Zapper Vyde 120/80-17. My earlier Pirelli MT75 110/80-17 which ran for 10k kms was awesome for initial 7k but slowly started degrading even though treads were intact.. This seems to be a good upgrade now..

@vivekgautams : Didnt know MRF revz was available in that size. Even I am getting the Pilot Sporty 90/90-17 in a day or two.

Actually I searched too many shops for the 120/70 (which is the most accurate size up-grade) but soon learnt the only size in market was 120/80 & that MRF & Ceat was the only option.. Ceat was a complete off-road tyre & heard "MRF reduced production of tyres as demand was less".. After one or two months of searching, found this MRF Revz( the size is made for the p200NS,atleast thats what I heard from a few shops).. The Pilot Sporty is something around 2.2k & it is really good..

Hi Adarsh.. Sorry.. Total unrelated question... Your bike's silencer made me curious.. Is it the Joel's FFE?

Idnt need the green/black rtr 160 .... i just wanted to know that the rtr 160's (2012 model) which has new belly pan...will it be fitted in my fz-s? The belly pan of previous model of the rtr 160 was perfectly fitting on fz-s ... i don't know abt the new models belly pan becz none of my friends has it.!

Actually I have no idea why it is done...Air cooled engines must not be revved up high on stand still.

It's just something to spill the water that could've gotten into wires and such. It's not done for long. Just for a very short while and two or three times.

You got any idea about what I mentioned?

The Pilot Sporty is something around 2.2k & it is really good..

120/80 size doesnt make much of a difference.. due to slightly increased height of the tyre (along with the width) the gearing becomes slightly taller thus the bike doing a bit higher speeds with minor drop in acceleration (which will be hardly noticeable).

I ordered Pilot Sporty from changemytyre.com for 1700+ bucks (almost all stores quoted 2k+) will receive it anytime now..

Bro, TVS Apache RTER 180 ABS come in only two colors Pearl White & Devils Black ... and I don't think you can fit over designed Belly in your FZ.
