    • R 15's Rear tyre on RTR 180

      Guys,

      I know this has been discussed in past but just to confirm,

      In next month I am planning to replace RTR's rear tyre with R15's rear stock, just want to know is it a direct fit???

      And

      My RTR 180 is now exactly one month old and Odo show 960 KM, I have kept bike below 45 mark till first servicing (first 600 KM) and below 55 mark after first servicing, can I now start hitting 70 mark?? and after how many KM i can get break free i.e hitting three digit?

        yaar please spoke about me also with that head engineer .every time i go for service they just pour that water in bike .and every time i have to change it as soon i came out from svc. 240 ka chuna lag jata hai .i have to throw that fresh tvs oil.

        currently my engine kill switch is gone not working . i insist svc at least open it and check whether any wire is loose ,disconnected or shorting .and he is just repeatedly saying
        for(int i=0;i<20;i++)
        {
        console.WriteLine("we have to change the whole switch").
        }
        he just say that more than 10 time.
        and the price of new switch 400 what the hell..

        i am going to buy a 20 rs anchor switch and will install it .
        You don't get switch separately. You need to replace the whole set. Last time my switch konked off, I had mine replaced with a defective one which was lying around. Try to convince them to do that

        Your idling is not correct. Set the idle rpm again when bike is warm. Should solve the issue. Cold start rpm will now hover around 1-1.1k mark though.

        Nopes R15's is not a direct fit. You get Pirelli MT 75 (You may get in touch with Mr. Manoj Sharma at 93124-38072, 011-25477861 in Delhi for the tyres)

        Oops just realised you were from Pune

          Its better to stick to stock specs unless you have some special needs in mind. 110/80-17" is available in MRF Zapper C.

          :O you have not yet hit 70 even once? man, you need to start tasting the rush...

              I don't know how did it happen.From the first day when it was replaced,it is like this only.I have visited the service center 4-5 times after that and they keep on saying,it's just because of the new-pads!

                hmmm confirm that your disc is bent. never heard of uneven pads, but if its pads, they have to wear off to align with the disc. Also, press the brake lever slightly and forcefully rotate the wheel. If the disc is bend, you'll have this sort of pulsing on the lever.

                  well some body on this thread has fitted r15 rear tyre on rtr 180 and also posted some pics a long time ago.
                  his review was cornering ability was increased .and sticking like glue on corners.but the draw back was in straight line. straight line ability was decreased in high speed.
                  thou it is not direct fit but you can install it. rtr will look skinny from rear..

                      Pads are still brand new.IMO,there isn't any problem with the pads but the disc is the main culprit here.About the technique you are referring to,I have checked this fair many times.But never felt pulsing or anything of that sort.Actually,I do not push the rear-brake lever for too long.The rear just fish-tails!
                      The reason I can tell you this,that the plate is bent,is when I push the bike in neutral(ignition off),the wheels lock at a particular point and their is a resisting force.And some noises!

                      Can you shed some more light on the highlighted part in your post?

                      Thanks.

                        No idea. But got this number from the official PIRELLI customer care (RALSON) in India. Looks like RALSON Tyres is the official distributor of Pirelli tyres in India.

                        You will definitely get a reply. I too asked for the spec MT 75 but was asked to confirm with the mentioned person. Maybe if it is not available stock then we can ask him to get it

                            • Rim Bend

                              Guy after all that thrashing and beating for 23k kms in all kind of roads, finally both front and rear rim has got slight bent.
                              And also got the rear wheel bearings changed.

                              I noticed this very first time when getting the chain adjusted. Although there is no difference in riding but while rotating(on stand) one can notice the wobble.

                              So guys is there any fix to get these right or i have to bear the hole in the pocket
