Next clean you carbs, TPS, air filter. After that do proper tuning. Set the tuning by yourself bcos in svc those guys do it just without making sure the engine is in optimum temperature...
If that doesnt help change your carb diaphragm...
I had an issue of lag when you give sudden throttle response...I changed it & then the bike came back to its RTR-DNA..
The bike showed no problem today maybe due to no rain.. I cleaned the air filter & drained the carb. from the sediment ed dust..
Then saw this:- http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/do-yours...park-plug.html .. so I found a old plug & did the same.. Now the only thing to do is tuning the carb. The carb. diaphragm was replaced some 4-5k km back but that old diaphragm had no cuts or cracks..
If I face the same trouble.I'l get the TPS & carb. cleaned correctly..

Good choice considering the ever "improving" Indian road conditions
Btw those gold rims look really cool, how much did it cost?

Why was the plug changed so frequently? Usually a plug lasts for 10k kms atleast. Anyways, I have recently seen very similar issue as yours on my bro's enfield (phad phad sound, engine suddenly stopping, uneven idling etc) and the culprit was the spark plug. Changing it solved everything. I know both bikes might behave differently but fouled spark plug cannot be ruled out here. Do check with a new one rather than that DIY stuff.

Regarding diaphragm, it is that the rubber hardens with time and it fails to function properly, like a new one. It doesn't need to have any cracks or holes to go bad. Mine was changed at 17k and what a huge difference it made!!

        @ Bengaluru guys
My bike needs some servicing soon and the following are the important tasks that need to be done
        1. Tappet adjustment
        2. Brake bleeding
        3. Front fork cone set replacement
        4. Chain sprocket set replacement
        5. Battery charging

From what I have seen, TVS SVCs are lazy and skip tasks like tappet adjustment and do tasks like bleeding in a bad manner.
So, I need to know the SVCs in Bangalore which are good enough to take care of the above tasks properly without skipping any. (Tappet adjustment using appropriate sized feeler gauges is very important as the bike has been making noise since a long time)
        Thanks in advance.
PS If possible, please mention the name of the contact person at the SVC.

The grip in monsoon is excellent though. Hope fully, it lasts long. Only grouse is, I amnt able to skid it as I used to do it with past tires every time i apply rear break(just for fun) .
The golden colour was done 1.5 yrs back, at around Rs.900 I I R C, including 4 forks as well.

I have heard from one of my firend who uses the same ceat vertigo tire, that it is soft compound tire..so it aids the grip part...but also is prone to punctures...
              have u felt the same??

Yup it is soft compound. It will go bland faster WRT TVS. But Hope, it wont be like IRC, which Lost its grip within 10K and too much puncture prone and was worse on dry as well. And Ceat is almost 1K cheaper than IRC.
But, the best part of IRC was, it was damn light. The Ceat is almost double the weight of IRC . I guess they deliberately manufacture tires for Track usage for a limited time/laps.
PS: I did Long burn outs on TVS tires, but Never on IRC.

Vertigo seems to be better then TVS tyres for me... 9500 km & yet nothing happened to it as of now plus it comes with 5 years warranty too... I am sure its gonna last more then 30 k km for sure... which is very good tenure for a 2300/- rs tyre....

Good one..how good is the performance on highways?Although R15 v1 rubber which I have is value for money in every aspect,it is irritating now that gears became a little shorter...although it is a small change from 65 at 5000 rpm to 62 at 5000 rpm...the vibes too increased..!Any way to make it taller?

Must have been a good choice..some one told me it feels like mini speed breakers on highway..thats why I did not go for it.

5 years warranty?? WOW I didnt see it. didnt even bothered to ask. Thanks for the info though. And yup, its lot better than TVS. But I guess the warrany only covers cuts and leaks(without nail). But if the threads go bland, we cant claim anything on it.

LOL... speed breaker in tire itself !!! It actually feel much better. As for your R15 tire, dude, dont worry, you have got the best one. It would be more than a kg lighter than the Vertigo, better performer(my top speed has taken a toll) and better milage as well.

LOL. just checked it. Its actually 120/80 . Sorry for the wrong info. The IRC was 120/70. Hence lower profile. And one thing, inflate the tires only after fitting the rim to the chassis. Else it wont go in easily.
