I know that it sounds impractical on TVS's side to assume 65 kg rider/pillion. But, the target audience are youth aged 18-30 (mostly). The average height of an Indian is 5' 7" and 65 kg for a fit 5' 7" rider is the ideal weight. Hence, the threshold.
Regarding performance loss, rreneav1987 has put down exact pointers.

Look at dual purpose tyres with rims, windsheild without hurting the aesthetics, practical saddle bags and tank bags, butterfly handle bars for an erect sitting position and covers for front fork for keeping it free from dust(I am thinking of getting it)...good huh?

A friend took my bike for some imp work & it had stopped raining.. He did not see clay on the road, the bike's front skidded & both of us fell.. That too at 15-20 kmph .. My bike has a Michelin Pilot Sporty in front & has ABS..
Moral of this stupid incident:-1. Be cautious on wet roads.
2.Never brake hard on the wet road.
3.Avoid clay & muck.
4. Bluish white HID are the worst during rains..
5. the quality of TVS spares are hopeless.
& the most important thing is that, however advanced the Technology is, the talent, skill & experience of the rider matters the most..

Cheers..!! Ride Safe...

actually almost all tyres behave that way in monsoon (tvs tyres are a bit sloppy) i ride at 50-60 in mumbai rains (stock tvs tyres)......dont go hard on the brakes as you do in dry & sunny conditions.....the key is braking early and anticipating the need to brake

I have given my RTR 180 for service at several places till date. Started with the TVS service centres, my relationship with them did not last for long. I tried Bharath motors and SLV motors. Later on I tried a local mechanic, which was a decent experience, but I felt that he did put in some unnecessary billing to make some easy money. Lastly shifted to the Castrol bike zone at Banashankari where I have been giving for the last one year. Until recently, the quality of service was satisfactory. But in the last two services, I have seen them overcharge compared to other places and within a week of service the bike starts choking on problems.

So my question to you guys is: Where do you give your beloved beast for servicing? Maybe some of us could share our thoughts on this and help the others.

Regards,
Vijay
I have been giving my bike for servicing at Bridgestone TVS Rajajinagar since I bought it in 2010. I have no issues till now and I'm quite happy with it. You could try them.

Its 10-30. No idea what they use for scooty.

@Tribals : 2k kms on free flow and stock re-bored block and a-f-r has gone haywire. No idea how this happened but I rode it for 35kms for normal Sunday g2g (last sunday) and then while coming back it just wont idle, do anything. I had to keep the hand on throttle so that it doesnt give up.

So that brings my end to RTR, White Devil is on sale now.
