I have a doubt guys,i would like to know which among the following scenarios will have faster acceleration if general conditions are considered same.
Scenario1:-Bike in 1st gear accelerating from 30-50
S2:-Bike in 3rd gear accelerating from 30-50
S3:-5th gear accelerating from 30-50
Thanks is advance

Second will be the faster means 3gear 30 To 50Originally posted by saipranav View PostI have a doubt guys,i would like to know which among the following scenarios will have faster acceleration if general conditions are considered same.

Cus i dont think bike can do 50 in first gear.if want to do the same engine will be on full stress. More than 11k rpm in first gear is not good for health of engine..................................................

My response exactly when I took delivery of my RTR 180. It showed 154 kph. I realised it may be an error but just asked the sales guy to see what he would say. He said it shows the top speed achievable on the bike!!! and I was like - Give me the keys, i want to get out of here asap!Originally posted by kantu View PostThats a speedo error ! moded bikes also may not hit that mark

In scenario 1: you might just break somethingOriginally posted by saipranav View PostI have a doubt guys,i would like to know which among the following scenarios will have faster acceleration if general conditions are considered same.

In scenario 3: you might be at pains overtaking a fully loaded bus
If you want acceleration it is best to drop down a gear, rather than just raise the throttle.कृपया यहाँ पर ज्ञान न बांटे

Pretty tight that screw... and you don't need to unscrew it whole, just loosening it a bit should allow all the water to drain.
Trying spraying WD spray over it... might help. And wrap a cloth over the screwdriver (provides much better grip
)
S1 S2 S3..All of them are silly scenarios..Originally posted by saipranav View PostI have a doubt guys,i would like to know which among the following scenarios will have faster acceleration if general conditions are considered same.

I have seen some people riding and changing gears according to the speedo..You shouldn't do that. You will learn when to change gears on your own. It's not rocket science! When ever you will feel engine losing steam, shift down or whenever you feel engine to be over-stressed just upshift.
And for the latter part(upshift) you need not to hit redline everytime.I meant riding normally, like overtaking etc.If you ride like there's no tomorrow...worry not there won't be!

Got a new rear tyre Pirelli MT-75 100/80-17 for my 180. Its really amazing. Didnt get the 110-80-17 but thats not a big deal.
MT 75 , Motorcycle Tyres - PIRELLI
Now both my tyres are 1 size less than stock. Front is mrf zapper FY 80/90-17. Overall handling and grip levels are way better than original.sigpic

Nice jobOriginally posted by haxor View Post
I use whatever I get to wash the filter. Shampoo, surf, diesel... just make sure to dry out the water every time.कृपया यहाँ पर ज्ञान न बांटे

My New Apache RTR 180
Hi,
Thanks to this forum and the members of this forum that i was able to finalise on my bike " The Apache RTR 180" or more popularily known as the WHITE MENACE
and finally i brought it home this monday.
And I would like to tell that I am fully satisfied with my decision and now I am just waiting for the running period to finish so that I can break free he he
Truly it is an awesome experience...
The only thing i regret is the money i paid for the Teflon coating around 450 rs which was not needed as on the second day of my bike purchase itself it rained here in Bangalore and the coating got washed away :P
Can some one please guide me to clean the bike means can I use just plain water or anything specific is required as I don't want to end up making scratches all over my bike in the cleaning process...all the dirt and mud in the rain is sticking onto the mud guards and the alloys so how to remove and clean it without making scratches
Thanks and here are the pics of my new ride ...

It takes more love to share the saddle than it does to share the bed :)

Dude, i know that knowing when to change gears is not rocket science, anyone will know it after riding for sometime, i also do know that redlining is not good for the bike and unnecessary, i know when to shift the damn gears... all i wanted to know was which of those scenarios has has the faster acceleration and which has the lowest,i wasnt able to figure that out since i cant ride with a stopwatch in one hand, and you are giving me lessons on when to change gears instead <_<Originally posted by shivank View PostS1 S2 S3..All of them are silly scenarios..
