PS Which oil are are you using?
    I am on TVS TRU4 10W30. Planning to change to Shell AX7 10w40 or Motul 5100 15w50.
As you said i will take my bike to a local mechanic check the engine oil, and ask him to clean the carburetor and air filter and adjust the Air fuel ratio.

I myself recently got Pilot Sporty 90/90-17 and am happy with it dry/rain/sand etc. (Bought it from changemytyre.com) One thing to be noted is even though it is 90/90 same as stock, it fits differently, more rounded, (It doesnt look as beefy as stock from front) so it might make the tyre slightly taller. Just thought of sharing this info.
Thanks mate, the website is really helpful in knowing the price and available make. As i need to change today, I will go for a hunt for the Michelin/MRF what ever I get in the market.

Hehe. The best thing about TVS tires is, they lasts long, really long. The threads are still lively, but cracked at a point(bloody pot holes). As its the front tire, it never bothered me(already changed the rear at 22K kms).

My bike is getting overheated after 15-20 min of travel. The heat can be easily seen around my legs, and some times the heat goes up till the tank of the RTR and i can feel it my thighs.
I am not sure what is the problem.
Dont worry, absolutely normal. Just check, if the engine oil level is alright. Change oil every 2K kms Use the TVS oil for some more time. Dont switch to different oil before 15K kms.

I have never tried fully synthetics...And not going to try also...
Its bit costly & also its prone to drop level if going for long rides...I know there are exceptions..
So you might require to carry a top-up always with you...
        I normally go for semi-synthetic Shell AX7 10w40 grade around 340+/-rs...
Its the best that suits me & my riding...
The drain period is between 2000-2500km...

My side stand was full of dirt+oil all the time.I thought it was my chain lube..turns out the sprocket shaft and gear lever oil seals were long gone.
Replaced those, chain+sprocket+rear hub shock absorber, adjusted the cone set...
Going to fit to fog lamps on crash guard for better illumination..
          I wonder will it work?\
Also new chain would make some noise, right?

Sounds like spark plug cap has gone loose. If water enters near spark plug, engine will get killed.
This could be one of the probable issues. Better get it checked.

@All : Has any one installed After market shocks ? Any pointers on good ones within 3k budget ?

With this heavy rains in blore, every day I discover a new pot hole its a PITA when I go over them

Check it while halting on main stand.
Some tightening might be needed (as per my previous experience)

Changed my front tire to CEAT ZOOM 90/90(Price Rs.1750/- + Rs. 30 for fitting). Beautiful thread pattern. pics latter.
Didnt get MRF in stock anywhere(100/90 was available). For 90/90, had to wait till tommoro. Needed to change it right now.
I know, Ceat aint really good in grip, but having rode the TVS tire for almost 48K kms up front, any tire would feel good. :P

Sane rider?? Hell no. In rainy season?? Hell YESS. TVS tires at rear is not at all recommended in rain. I had once skidded, hence chaged to IRC. I used to ride my old Star city during monsoon. hehe. But front tire, doesnt matter really.

Never knew that tyre life depends on availability of rear disc brakes , and lets not discuss "sane" riding (driver is for cars)

And just for your info, I am still running on TVS stock tyres at 35k kms. We all know how long the TVS tyres go and what are its negatives.

Probelm with Cone set i think. There is some sort of fork play if i'm not wrong...Go to your SVC and insist that they come for the test ride with you.
I had a similar/same problem, the mechy openend the RTR logo on the handle bar and adjusted the big nut there.

Are those tires meant to be used as front tires or are those rear tires ?

Changed rear stock tyre at 26k to r15 v1 rear ones..very hard to find..but contacted some friends in yamaha showroom and got it from where they get.
                                Rs 1800/- including fitting..
Looks thinner than stock(100/80/17)..but I somehow find it better looking now.
Grip-typical soft compound..grips amazingly on gravel, wet condtions too..tested on the way back home.
Yet to test high speed cornering, still from the feel I get now..way better handling.
