Imo... the oil we choose also depends on the way we ride. So it would be different for every rider.

Its been every month i have been visiting the SVC for some or the other problem. its just 7 months i bought the bike and i am very much disappointed with TVS guys from the time of buying till servicing the bike. the bike has always kept me happy while riding but the service from SVC is giving me hard time to live with the bike.

Feels to give up on TVS........
Hey dude, I didn't want to go to SVC everyday. So i tried tuning the carb myself by turning the A/F screw. Watched couple of videos on youtube and did it myself. And now the bike is performing better. It doesnt halt while leaving clutch on 1st gear neither the rpm increases to 2k, also the vibrations have decreased. So I guess adjusting A/F screw will help in your case too.

That's good man, if you are able to adjust the carburetor to your liking then half of your tension goes away, because you cannot make understand these svc guys what you want from your bike.

Dude in india more than 70% people don't know about synthetic oil they r not change oil as per km.they just put normal oil and they don't know if it is mineral or what

Guys SVC guy told me even if I want to change oil he asked me to go to semi-synthetic and not fully synthetic coz it is not meant for low cc bikes. It this true?? Are should I go ahead with fully synthetic??

@prathappa : Carb adjustment decreased vibration? Ain't it strange? Anyways till the time problem is solved and creating no issue, its good

The reason he has given is all false.
Go through Engine Oil thread and you will know when to use Fully Synthetic and when not to use it. RTR head tends to leak oil if poured synthetic oil, but then again it depends on bike to bike.

Do us a favor and kick that svc fello
You see in the engine oil thread the pros and cons of going fs.
Just stay away from something that says "esters" or "double esters"
They will eat through your packing/gaskets like pacman.

Not at all strange, my bike used to vibrate a lot on 1st and 2nd gear after 3k rpm. On other gears the vibes were negligible. But yes now the engine is smooth on 1st and 2nd gear as it is on other gears. I don't know the mechanical stuff behind, but yes it has helped me and i am happy about it.

By the way I will be giving the bike for 2nd service this weekend, What all things should I ask them to check, because the rpm problem is rectified as I feel.

I would suggest not to tell anything unless really required.
You tell something they will play all sorts of experiments & again you will have to find another DIY video to sort it out .
