No its far from BTM. Its near Nelmangala.(Tumkur highway). You are better off paying 100 extra then to travel this far.

I thought they might have solved the problem today, but it still persists. Anyone knows about this problem because they said they tuned the carb today.
I will have 2nd service done after 300 kms so will try to get this fixed, only if they have the expertise

me too having the same problem.
There was leakage on my engine head through oil seal, which hapenned after the changing the oil to motul 5100 15w50. had a kat kat sound from rear wheel. A loud vibration noise near 5.5 to 6.5 RPM. On friday took my bike to SVC changed the oil seal, in that he did tappet setting. the kat kat was due to a broken nut and bolt in the rear sprocket and other nut and bolts were loose. the vibration noise was reduced. Had false shifting issue as well which was solved by making the clutch tight but i feel the throttle lil harder.

earlier my bike had the idle issue but it could be considered as negligence coz it used to happen once in 2 days.

Now, whenever i stop my bike and keep it in idle the rpm falls below 1 and the bike gets off. For this i had to adjust the idling by moving the screw to make it 1k, but after riding few kms the idling reaches to 1.4k and again i have to reduce the idling.

Guys, please let me know the solution for this.

Hello brother
Hope all is well...
1st of all a few engine oils with esters and double ester bases have a tendency to eat through rtr gaskets. Try using anabond between them instead of three bond etc they help a lot.
Now all your ideling etc issues indicates an improper tuned carb and maybe a tps issue. Get that rectified easy fix too. Just tuning the ideling screw wont help. Also check the acceletor cable and its placed cleanly and not around anything. I had an ideling issue when my acceletor cable was wound around the carb and then attached to the throttle body.
Best of luck and keepbus updated.

Today I found that my fuel tank cap is not so tightly fit in its position. It is bulging out around 2mm and if i press it, it will go down. Because of this i suspect there is a chance of fuel leakage (through vaporization). My bike is 2013 beast model and when I checked an old 2011 model apache I found that its tank cap is perfectly fit.

Hey Divyanshp150, It was a waste going to SVC, he said there is no relation with all that what you have said. He just increased the idling between 1.2k - 1.4k and tuned the fuel screw in the carb.

Its been every month i have been visiting the SVC for some or the other problem. its just 7 months i bought the bike and i am very much disappointed with TVS guys from the time of buying till servicing the bike. the bike has always kept me happy while riding but the service from SVC is giving me hard time to live with the bike.

Feels to give up on TVS........

Im simply amazed with tvs. The company is slowly dying because its product base is jst stuck and now this bad service,
And trust me buddy I may not be an expert but experience is what I speak with.
Rtr owners here can highlight the head leaking issue and reasons I have quoted.
And what a rubbish svc you have that cant even tune a carb properly? ? Im dead sure xbhp members have better knowledge than a guy who cant tune a carb:banghead:
Please watch a video on carb tuning and diy untill hou find a good mech.
If I would have been there I would have given him a good wipping
But please dont be disheartened
The rtr is still the best buy below 1 lakh.
Bike is good its the svc that sux. Find a good mech or new svc

Very sad to know the behaviour of these ASC, but i would suggest you either try to find a good mechanic outside the service station or try to learn it by yourself, with a little bit of alertness and will to learn and you can tune carburetor yourself, pasting a link of carburetor tuning site.

I am facing a similar problem too. I don't think its a problem with the tuning in my bike as for the past 2k kilometers this idling issue was not present and suddenly it shows up in the past one week without any change to the tuning. (Air filter hasn't been cleaned for about 2.5k kilometers)
Also, I hear tappet noise which has increased over the last few weeks.
So it might be due to loose tappets. In the coming weeks I will be giving my bike to SVC for tappet adjustment and air filter replacement (10k on odo) hope the problem gets solved!

+1 on the tappets adjustment,
Clean carb too if you have not done it in the last 10k
Spark plug cleaning is also adviced if you dont wana replace and its that old:thumbup:

Hey guys,
Here's a one year report of my RTR.
12200 kms on odo and running better better than new.
I am not facing any problems as of now(touchwood), I got dc conversion and coil rewinding done around a month back
since then bike is performing simply awesome, somehow I feel it improved the throttle response and made the bike smoother, maybe the ignition system is working at its best as its gettingmore electricity.
My bike is currently running on michlelin pilot sporty 90/90 -17 and zapper vyde 120/80 - 17 for the rear and it handles amazingly and is much more stable, a very minor loss in acceleration is noticeable.
Over all the bike is performing better than it used to when it was new.

If Im right what you mentioned is a mineral oil. Anyway very few people stick with mineral oil even after 10k in odo. Nice to know its working well for you.
