As for A/F default settings, mine was 1.75 turns before lean mixture. Now I have made it 2.25 turns.

I didnt understand "1.75 turns before lean mixture".
Does this mean from starting position if I turn 1.75 turns then it will come into lean position. From there when you turned 0.50 more you reached the best settings for you. So that means totally 2.25 turns from zeroth position will give me a good mixture setting.
      Is my understanding right?

What Im asking is from zeroth position how many turns?

^^ mate when you turn the screw clockwise completely you will reach most lean mixture, from here rotate anticlockwise (I.e. towards lean mixture) about 2 turns which will be your stock setting.

Guys , my RTR 180 ABS is up for a rebore after 40k kms. ODO . Can anyone tell me the correct run-in procedure after a rebore ? Is it similar to the initial run-in ? should i change the oil at 500 kms. once and 1500 kms. next ? and would it be better if i use mineral oil during this phase or should i use semi synthetic oil ?

It is the same as initial run-in with first oil change at 500km and so on. It is better to use mineral oil during this phase

Any reason why the bore lastedthis less? And ya same run in bro keep it under 4 to 5 k rpm, and short smoothe burts to higher rpms.
Change oil filter with oil at 500km , 1000km and 2000km then after every 2k slong with oil changes,

                  divyansh....

I do a 50kms. commute each day at 100-110kmph and at times ride a bit rash too ! maybe that's the reason . There was no performance lag tho , oil started disappearing slowly . Thanks bro. Rebore has been done, will be getting the bike back today.

Maybe the bore wasnt the cause of the disspearing oil? Bad valves? Did you get it nicely checked before the rebore?! Some mechs are just a....holes:banghead:

Yeah , the bore was the problem ! i removed the piston rings and the piston flowed through the bore like butter -_- . As of now , rebored, changed timing chain, timing chain tensioner, valves,i wanted the shell ax3 but my mechanic ended up using castrol. Bike feels a lot better now , idling is stable which was not the case before, but there is some noise from the engine tightened the tappets and the timing chain. Mechanic tells me that the engine would take some time to set and during the 500km oil change he would tighten the tappets and check on it again . Is this normal ? Because i expected a silent engine as like stock .

                          Without piston ringsthe piston wil
! Ove easily as there will be no compression.
Keep tappets towards the looser side during run in tighten them post 1000km
Change oil and filter at 500km , 1000km and 2000km then use ax5 for 2 k km interval and after 5 k on the odo shift yo ax7
Run ins are a little rough on the new engine
Your mech dosent sound too good... im sorry

Hope iam not troubling you man, but you have written after 5k sift to ax7, are you suggesting some 20w70 oil.

Folks, is it common that 180s engine make that tappet sound after warming up? I mean, after a 15 min ride even in idle there is more tappet sound from engine. But while idling after cold start the engine sounds smooth. Do my rtr's tappets need adjustment?

20W70 ? That is some serious viscosity, are you sure you need that ? is oil with such grade even available for bikes in India ?
