        so anyways...i had already decided to go for APACHE RTR 180...in WHITE...so guys...please guide me with the following:

        1. cons & problems observed in the bike...i already know the pros...
        2. mileage obtained....it affects me as i got a salary the size of peanuts...
        3. where ( form with Authorised Dealer ) should i get the bike? i have heard that "u have to get ur TVS serviced from the same dealer form whom u purchased the bike!"...is it really so??...

        this is all i got to ask right now....
        please be quick to reply as i got to book my bike in Navratri & get it delivered on Dussera..if possible....

        thanks guys....

        WOW , nice experience Bro!!
        1.probs are all minor and if u followd this thread u wud know them by now ,personally i fell the gear box is not smooth (well , only bikes i rode before this was R15 and ZMA).
        2.if u rip it like hell ull get atleast 35, if u drive properly ull get 45 after 1st service , bfore 1st service i got 52.(donno the reason , may be i rip it a lot)
        3.Theres no such thing but generally ppl tend to do so bcoz they think they may get extra attention from the mech at the SVC

                @Sathya

                You logged up so much kms, man!! Well about the alloys you can get it replaced in warranty(not sure) or insurance.Try to replace it by using the above mentioned methods.And about the noise coming from the rear sprocket while disengaging clutch is loose chain. Tighten it!!

                    Ya,it seems to be..
                    But i think it's my fault as i was revving it hard and hard till 12k mark!..Poor tacho!

                    @prakash

                    Yupp many of my friends have replaced the tacho twice but today when i went to TVS they told me they would fix it and won't replace it until there's no way out.They were asking to leave the bike for about 3-4 hours,i refused because of some work today.So,it'll done on wednesday..

                    • My Black Apache RTR180 After 870kms:

                      My Apache RTR180 After 870kms:
                      Regarding Black RTR180 ,it is not at all easy to differentiate between RTR 160.AND - I enjoy that Freedom.White RTR180's always invites stares and Attention.Me ,Wil Not Like Attention.I like Riding.

                      My Black RTR 180 Completed 870kms as of Now.Rain Always play spoil sports ,Especially I hate the dirt being "sprayed" on to My Foot.Don't know why? My Pulsar 180(sold) also had this issue.Any Solution?

                      Now that after 650kms ,I Took My Bike to 60-70kmph more often ,to "open" the Engine.For the past 100kms ,6-7K rpm I have taken.Top Speed as of Yet is 92kmph.the valve chatter noise has gone High as I earlier posted until 5k rpm.the noise disapper after 5K rpm.The Gear is Smooth(No "Buri Nazar" fellow RTR180'ians ) from the day I took Delivery of the Bike.Vibrations are felt after the needle go past 4K rpm till 5.5K .but smoothens out after that.I have twice asked to tighten foundation Bolts.Me being Heavy at 108kg ,the front tyre pressure is 26psi and rear as usual 28psi.Is this OK?

                      Can Someone Tell Me that My Engine has Really Completed Running-in Smoothly?Now the Bike Does not Heat as Earlier.Tappet "ning ning" noise is their which I feel ,Slightly loose Tappets Keeps the New Engine From Over Heating ,Especially if You are Following Running-in the way I tried with My Bike(43-55kmph until 600kms with occassional speed bursts for a few seconds to 65kmph,first service done, take the Bike Freely to 70,80,90kmph incremental after Every 50 or 100kms interval).

                      I am Happy with My Ride .
                      regards,
                      Prakash

                        Hi julianpaul,
                        Thanks for responding to this...
                        Like you said, none of those who I tried to discuss this understood what I was saying.. but obviously, most of them dont do 3-digit speeds, or intense braking from such speeds.
                        I did not mention this to the service centre guys, they never understand any of our requirements anyway...
                        As for how this phenomenon occurs, it still a mystery, and I too will get used to it soon...
                        Regards,
                        Lijo
