Thanks for the comments buddy. Abt the 3rd point, even I'm not sure of how it is... maybe I'll carefully note how it happens, the next time (if at all) and then post... Thanks anyway....

@prakash_mvpa: I've been following this thread and your comments since I got my bike, was lazy to sign up... About your question reagarding run-in - well, upto arnd first 300 km I was going slow n all, then I started opening up....Originally posted by prakash_mvpa View Post@lijok: Atlast someone from Kerala.
Me just completed 830kms.3 weeks old Bike.Since You touched 120kmph ,Did you Followed Running-in or Just Started Enjoying your ride?
TVS Guys ,When I complained about Disc Pads making noise ,Just Air Blasted Both Discs! :P
now-a-days doing above 80 almost all the time... and pushing over 100 at times.... The 120 mark was done one night (arnd 1 AM) on a stretch in NH bypass where there are no side roads joining.... I tend to belive in the Motoman break-in process... from my and other friends experience.... but just to be safe, like I said, first 300 km, i was doing less than 4-5k rpm...
Tomm I'm going to get ma disks air-blasted too....

I first experienced this with a friend's pulsar 180 ug3. then my fi. A friend also mentioned it after riding my fi when it was new. Nowadays, however, i don't seem to see this happen. I have no idea exactly what causes it, could be the tyres being new, or the tightness of the triple-clamps. Or it could be that my body is used to the phenomenon and automatically compensates for it now as a reflex. I would say wait for a couple months and see if you still notice it. Very few people would even understand what you're talking about if they haven't experienced it themselves, don't even try mentioning it at the service centreOriginally posted by lijok View Post3. When braking from a high speed, if I happen to lean to either side, seems like the front part of the bike dips to the same side putting me into a greater lean - I'm not sure of this, if its just me, or due to the road surface profile - if anyone has felt the same lets discuss this.

hey guys....imagine this scene as i narrate it....i was sitting as usual in front of my pc one evening when my parents sent for me....they were sitting in the drawing room watching news when i came in....when my brother said id been summoned he had that peculiar smile on his face....and i had this thought "what am i being called for?"....with a question on my mind i went into the drawing room....both of them looked at me and asked me to sit down...i was thinking "now what the f**ck did i do wrong?"....as soon as i sat down...my DAD spoke "we think u can now get urself a new bike...go book it & get it ob dis Dussera"....for a few seconds i couldnt believe what i actually heard!!!...i was simply astonished....i mean it dosesnt happen everyday that these things happen to u!!!....so thats what been hapenning with me off-lately...& am glad...
.....
so anyways...i had already decided to go for APACHE RTR 180...in WHITE...so guys...please guide me with the following:
1. cons & problems observed in the bike...i already know the pros...
2. mileage obtained....it affects me as i got a salary the size of peanuts...
3. where ( form with Authorised Dealer ) should i get the bike? i have heard that "u have to get ur TVS serviced from the same dealer form whom u purchased the bike!"...is it really so??...

8000 (yes eight thousand) kms done and the bike still goes like a dream...Im facing a few problems atm like Oil leak from the gearbox (I think )...and Multiple Punctures / Alloy bend on the rear tyre =]
Bike does a top whack of 136 singles and 124 in doubles.
Vibrates like a beech at 136 =P I'll tell you that much.. Ooh yeah and my discs have been giving me problems for ages with that squealing noise but I get it cleaned every 500 KMS... Chain Lube doesn't last too long or the engine oil... I suggest everyone who is using TVS Oil to switch to Castrol Power1 or better brands ASAP :].
Mileage is around 35-42.
I have two questions..somebody put a nasty dent in my petrol tank , is there anyway I can get it fixed?
Secondly, I get hitting sounds when I disengage the clutch at around 4k - 6k RPM ...the sound comes from the back sprocket.
Oh yeah and for one more, I need to know if my alloy is bent,do I need to change it or do I have other alternatives?
