Also i have heard there is no rubber mounting near the chassis-engine.That is the major reason for the handlebar vibes.
The rtr already has damping rubbers in the fairing. Actually, removing fairing vibes are comparitively easy. Engine/body vibes are another matter. And it's not easy to add rubber mounting to a solid mounted engine.

          • Guys ,I heard a tik tik sound from Bike's Engine tonight after a 20kms riding session ,clearly audible while Idling. Is it tappet Noise? When the Engine Cooled Down ,the noise almost disappeared.

.The Bike was rode around 55-60kmph.I hope it is not related to Piston Rings blasted or Foundation Bolts Gone Loose.I went upto 70kmph and usually closes the throttle soon to bring down rpm to a comfortable 3.5-4K.Any Idea?

              • Earlier I have used old carb(bs 26).. Then changed to 2nd hand bs 29 carb.. But it has got some issue. So exchanged it with new Pulsar 220's carb today. Now the machine is going like hell. Hope to get better top end also as I am running with 18 inch wheels and high profile tyre(100/90 X 18) at the rear. Modifications done from a local mechanic.

                      • just came back from purchasing cramster pulse and dsg gloves

                        A small ride report

its been two days of my menacing and boy let me tell u this bike is nothing i ve experienced before.bike has excellent pickup, low end torque is bad compared to pulsars but much improved to apache 160,braking is rock steady. on a dry road u can apply both front or rear discs to any amount and the bike just stands STIFF. although my tyres have not skidded yet but i feel these tyres dont exactly respond good between two concrete slabs of the road, whenever i cross such a joining it doesnt feel stable.
top speed done till now : 100kmph
Warning: if u have a pillion rider and u r in mood of menacing then ask him/her to hold tigthly otherwise he/she is sure to fall down....

more ride report and photos coming soon

                        • help

guys i wanna share one incident that i had to come across today and i am really worried bout it..

today on my way back from college there is a pretty steep slope that comes on the way.on my ride back today i was going at bout 25-30 down that slope when suddenly i dunno y i tried doing such a stupid thing but i put the gear to neutral to allow the free flow downward the slope... the indicators showed the neutral gear sign so i released the clutch.but the bloody gear hadnt fallen to neutral probably it got false geared.i got some khattt-putt sound loudly and the bike came to stand stil and the dumb indicator was stil showin neutral sign

then i changed the gear finally it came to neutral...

but one thing that i am noticin after ridin it after that incident is that the gearing is not as smooth as before.. it makes tak tak sound when changing gears which wasnt comin before.. and it more frequently goin into false gearing.. or i am feeling that way psychologically i dunno

do any of u know if some would have gone wrong...? is it the cluth plate or the gearbox can it be repaired?

pls shed some light on this

It may be due to some problem with sensor that puts neutral light 'on'...can't say much about false neutrals ... just show it to auth. svc station and get clarified/rectified.

oh, that reminds me of the 1st week of my 220dtsi. It was just rock stable on any roads, while bending even if i withdrew my hands from the handle, the bike took the same bend in same angle...the concrete slabs which u talking about, my 220, never wobled for the 1st week, but then it did and later i got to know that my fork waz loose. What am trying to say in ur case is maybe its not the tire to be blamed, just pay a casual visit to servce stn and narate them your problem. Tel them to tighten up ur fork...perhaps it myt wrk
