Even another friend of mine pointed out this thing after he rode my bike on the Zapper S. Otherwise i would have never spent another 1600 for a new tyre having changed the tyres merely two weeks back.
      No offence but Nothing changes like you mentioned here just by 10 mm's, tyre make, compound, matters a lot than the tyre size, the R15's 100 section tyre can outperform TVS 110 section tyre anyday, i can still bet you if you didnt knew about the tyre change you would have not told about it unless and untill you're a track guy.

      That will change with the diameter of the tyre if you'll put 21" then your top speed will increase, and if you'll put 16" your acceleration will.

        Yes the R15's tyre did outperform the TVS tyre. Even i had posted earlier how much confidence it gave around the corners. No issue with that. But what im talking about is straight line stability. Im quite sure it was hampered in a way that one can feel it. I tell you what, try it out yourself. I have a brand new R15 tyre that i would like to sell at half the price to if you want to buy

                • I'm confused still.... I just want a new set of tyres that won't fishtail on wet roads. I've searched everywhere and can't seem to find the R15's rear tyre, I did however find the front one. The zapper c and q are also available, so I'm thinking R15 front tyre with a Zapper C or Q 120 rear. I did a lot of riding on a pulsar 200 throughout the monsoon last year and the tyres never even once let me down. But these TVS tyres even on slighty wet roads are way too scary esp while leaning into turns. I hate them

                    I have a R15 tyre which i used for only two weeks. If you want you can buy that from me. But i can tell that you will lose a bit a straight line stability. This is my experience after using it. Otherwise its a fantastic tyre. If you want to scrape your footpegs easily on every corner then i dont think you will find a better tyre in india for that. It gives you loads of confidence on corners.
                    And if you want to go for 120 section go for zapper Q. Not zapper C. And why do you want to downsize on the front by going for the R15's front tyre when you have got options in the stock size? I went for 90/90 Zapper FS, the front tyre of P220. Try sticking to the stock size if you can.

                    • TVS tyres are really bad... Just had a small skid this morning.

                      I was trying some hard breaking and as soon as I breaked at a signal it fishtailed and front slipped off. Thanks to the legguard no scratches on my babe.

                        Immidiate and hard braking will make tyre skid, irrespective of what manufacturer's name it sport's on it's sidewalls.
                        Be little more cautious next time and always look for sand,gravel etc on the road before braking too hard.

                        • Yep True... but never had such experience on my old machine(Uni). Those days I was on Geocruisers(Rear), but managed to escaped crashes as the front MRF Zapper had an awesome grip.

                          Well jo hogaya woh hogaya... will be careful in future

                            @Cruzzer

                            Always try to use corrective braking technique. Ride as if 'you' are controlling the bike not the 'tyre' or something else.

                              • I've decided.... It'll be 90/90 Zapper FS for front and 120/80 Zapper Q for the rear. Thanks for your help guitarfreak Is your rear tyre a 120/80 Zapper C?
