Yes...the dealer is asking me to exchange for another fresh model.
Even i m willing to do that. But i smell something fishy, as he hvnt mentioned it while delivering the bike and now he is asking to drop the bike before the fresh one arrives.

I just want to know that can the no km travelled values can be reset?
and what checks to be done(things to look for) while taking the delivery?
How much chances (n ways) the dealer can fiddle with the bike?

Really bit worried..
pls help guys.

I suggest you talk to the manager or someone and ask them whats happening...
And if you dont have any misgivings about the bike, I suggest you keep it... its just my opinion though..

But can u put some light on this...

what checks to be done(things to look for) while taking the delivery?
How much chances (n ways) the dealer can fiddle with the bike?

And can i get any contacts of TVS repesentative in Mumbai..

One thing you can do is check the chassis/engine serial number.In that way you can make sure if it's earlier model or a newer one. Try to get in touch with the GM of the dealership and try to find out what's the reason and in case if they are really caring for the customer and do not want to cheat you then accept their gesture!!

250kms done bike is a strict no no, specially because these guys rip it real hard while transporting or whatever reason he gave you, (you really cant trust him when he saya that those entire 250kms were done under 4000RPM

).

Ask for a new fresh bike, if he refuses, go to the other dealer.

i can smell something fishy about this.....i think the dealer wants to sell the bike to someone they know personally or their friends...or why should they ride the bike 250kms from the main dealer to the sub and tell you that it has been 250kms done and they are ready to exchange for another fresh one...

Please...do not go for a bike that has done 250Kms and dont trust these dealer's.The main Hero honda dealer in Kancheepuram tried to cheat me by giving me a accident vehicle,luckily for me that was the only bike that was available for a test ride at that time and the handling gave it away(Later the supervisor too confirmed this

).

pls as soon as possible get yamaha FZ and put RTR engine in it pls
don't waste time here. put your problem in "HELP" section why don't you think of putting P220 engine in FZ or get RD 350 HT engine?

The "International feature" is only a monoshock that's it, and if you're including a fat tyre and mirrors on the fairing as the "international features", you're oh so wrong.

And as you're saying the RTR180's powerful engine dosent match with the body,(which i think does,though this is personel liking, that's why i bought the bike

) then my friend Fazer's bulbous looks dosent match with it's power.

Well it's your friends money, it will be your friends bike, and ultimately it will be HIS choice, let him take the decision.

The 180 will touch close to 138 on the speedo, provided it's been given a clean stretch of 1-2 kms after getting to 125...

My FI touches 133, but takes time.

If your friend is an enthusiast who priorties power over everthying else then he should be looking towards the P220 or the A180. Fazer has insipid performance for it's price and is more of an eye-candy rather being an accomplished performer. Let him take his own decision.

PS:Nobody buys a RTR for 'looks'!!
