Y the hell guys are comparing 150 with 180 ????
i always hate that ... help me choose 220 or 180 , help me p 150 or Apache 180, help stunner or hunk
Y dont they start comparing hayabusa with my CBZ ( and ya i will say my SHEBZ gives better mileage)
RTR 180 is a rocketship ... Y will anybody compare it with 150 that not even the fastest 150.
by the way TVS have completed @#$%ed RTR's handling capability ... the footpegs touch the road so easily with small banking angle.
i think they need to carefully look at that issue.

hey guys
my rtr 180 is a month old now and has done 650+ kms as of today. The mileage i get is only ~30 kmpl.when i asked the svc guy.he said all new vehicles return that much only and that one of their other customer is getting only 27kmpl.he said he can look into carb and tune it after 3000 or 4000 kms only...
is this common with new vehicles..??or is there trouble in bike??

Hmm...A thoughtful questionOriginally posted by aswinap View Postbut why shoudnt i get it when others are getting it....its the same sports bike..no offense meant......
....and a vague answer
one suggestion..Just check u r riding habits too...and remember each refill should be from a reputed petrol pump
Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handle bars to the seat.

...The RTR180 will give you a avg betwen 35-40, so if you're getting 35 it's pretty good you're getting.Originally posted by aswinap View Postbut why shoudnt i get it when others are getting it....its the same sports bike..no offense meant......
You can boost this by 5kmpl by changing the gears below 5000 RPM ride sanely, no traffic light GP's, no cruising above 60kmph, no sudden bursts of acceleration, but if we just wanted to ride this way the best option was to buy an average bike.
The avg can be stretched to 50kmpl, but for that you've to run a very lean mixture that in turn will wreck the performance as well as the engine and that is not recommended.
Stay happy with 35kmpl and enjoy the performance guys. The Magician"

Shifting between 6k-7k rpm, the bike should return 37-40kmpl of mileage in city conditions. But if you are resorting to "kiss the red line" type of riding style then the mileage should come out to 30kmpl and may be lesser.Mind you, Heavy clutch usage and ripping in lower gears results in much lesser mileage in case of the RTR. I only get good mileage on highways. In city it's anywhere between 35-40kmpl which is also quite a decent figure for a bike which delivers more than a regular 180cc bike in terms out of outright performance.

Hi, guys a newbie to this forum.
Got my "WHITE GHOST" on auspicious day of "Guddi Padva"
from a dealer in Bhayandar(Mumbai).
A Problem out der..
The dealer called me 2day n told that "The Bike has already ran 250 km while delivering from main Dealer to sub Dealer, so if u want to exchange the bike that will be available." I m not able to decide wht to do. Actually the display has been reset and wire is unplugged( not showing RPM n all).
Pls tell me How to know the km covered by the bike and can we reset the same? and How to know that dealer hasnt fiddled with the bike
?
Pls reply urgently guys..

Something fishy here.... No one is going to ride a brand new bike for 250kms just to take from one dealer to another... and even if they did, with the wire unplugged(which will reset all info on the console), why is he offering an exchange?Originally posted by yogslikeu View PostHi, guys a newbie to this forum.

Then again, if a bike has already run 250kms, the initial run-in is done... get the oil and oil filter changed, and its good to go... that is, if you are at peace with it...
