How to know when it is in reserve??
it may seem dumb but please explain it from a layman point of view

If i know it is in reserve then how much fuel is still in tank??

every bike has more than two liters of fuel in reserve, enough to take you to the next petrol station.

Pro kits are with TVS and I believe they do not intend to launch them anytime soon..Not even the Free-flow!

Anyways,TVS guys are ready to change the whole silencer assembly of my RTR as because of rust.I've asked them if they can get me the free-flow from THE PRO-KIT because it's all under warranty!

Forget the desire of yours in bolds, instead ask them for FI's silencer as it comes without the CAT, it may sound more good, but you'll be polluting the MOTHER NATURE my friend.

Which RTR do you own RENNY. Is it 180 or 160 and how's its performance especially at speeds of 80kmh. Is it expensive on maintenance or just like Pulsars. Mine friend is getting a used RTR 160 FI(donot know about model) for 32000rs. The bike is in good condition with a whole service record and has done 12000kms. Is it a Deal Worth???

              Is it?
I didn't know the Fi comes without CAT!
...That is the sound i want to hear everyday..Can it be fitted with the carb?

                      Hi guys,

I took my RTR for a weekend trip last week.
It was really good in hills.
                      And now to my query

When i started,i filled in 4 liters of petrol(the fuel cock was in main i.e. long side of the knob was facing down). There was 3 points in the fuel indicator..after some kms the orange fuel light lit up.
Now i didn't turn the fuel cock knob up..it was still down..after the light lit up i rode some 75~80 kms and suddenly the engine strutured to a stop.
i could not start it again even after turning the fuel knob up.but there was some fuel left in the tank..why is this??

what does the orange light suggest??
when should i turn the fuel cock knob up??
when is the bike using the reserve petrol??

My bike has done 540 kms.I have taken it today from the first service today only.
When i asked the TVS service center guys..they didn't know and yapped something.

Ur bike should have stopped when u had about 2 :1/2 ltr or about 2 ltr of petrol left in ur petrol tank bcoz u had the knob down (ON)......
normally the knob should be up (reserve ) when u have only 2 or 2:1/2 ltr of petrol ....
The orange light lites up when u have only about 1 ltr or 1:1/2 ltr of petrol in ur tank after u have used ur bike in reserve for some time ....

1st ASk svc to Check the knob it might not be working
2nd If it is not working Ask them for a replacement

                      ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I had similar kind of issue on my bike, my bike used to run with my knob down (on) untill there is petrol left in the tank , it never used to go to reserve .... got a replacement from svc , its fine now .......

this just great & true also
i have experienced the same problem with the fuel indicator
when it's actually reserve indicator shows you +1 bar on the "R"
after some km. suddenly drops tho "R" put the bike on side stand and that will show you again +1 bar over "R" again same after some km. drops to "R"

hey one thing noticed if you are running on reserve and if you put just 2 Ltr. of petrol indicator shows you 3 bars or some times (side stand) 1/2 tank hahahaha
