    @mozn
Probably your bike's cone set needs tightening.
asked the svc guys to do it...but after service the vibrations have increased tremendously...at any speed above 30 the handle starts vibrating like crazy!!!
earlier the handle used to vibrate only between the speeds of 60s n 70s...
taking the bike out has become a torture..guys plz help!!

as guitar freak mentioned its not the racing one... the other 290 rupee one... it really really frees up the engine... gears r much much smoother n vibrations lesser u can feel the difference. oh and don't forget to change your oil filter every time u change ur oil. :P

any day better than tvs tru4

guys i need to ask u all which spark plug is best for rtr's i wanted to put the platinum tip one but someone said irridium tip is better help

I tried iridium on RTR, as i had good experience on my victor. But on RTR, there was no differance. Then tried same plug on fellow's Hunk. And hunk was smoother and bettet in acceleration than before. RTR's stock twin spark is practically equivalent to iridium in performance. Only difference is life of plug. Stock used to sink in performance after 3-4k, while iridium is performing in same manner till date, after clocking 7.5k.

Use normal fonts, avoid using bolds in normal sentences as it's considered shouting at the forum.

Iridium makes a diff at high RPM's but very mild one....
and yes i also change the plugs at 5000kms, but they can last upto 8000kms.

regular plug can last upto 25k. But they loose their efficiency by 20-25% after 4000 kms or so. Iridium performs to its peak till 10k or so.

Setting idling rpms lower than recommended will result in jamming of one way clutch, as when engine comes to life, crank shfaft(driven) will rotate slower than starter(driver) (reverse of the requirement of one way clutch). I dont know abt P220. I have never worked or used pulsar for long. Thats "not my cup of tea"

You cannot assume that TVS and BAJAJ run same logic for digital CDI.
Ok, i meant lower idling rpm. But whatever it is, idler rpm is no way related to sprag clutch failures. Low battery charge, faulty TCI are the reasons for the failures.

Just ride as one needs to ride during rains. Simple!!

                        • the plugs should be changed at 8000-10000kms, and in case of RTR they hardly cost 100bucks...

Yes, though they may last longer, they are recommended to be changed at 10-12K kms.
Supposedly the Iridium ones last till 30K kms., due to anti-fouling mechanism&cleaning chamber blah-blah, I have them on both my bikes, will wait&watch.

                            • The Hiccups have vanished by itself

The rear tyre was jammed due to disc pad getting stuck to the disc. Cleaned it and adjusted for appropriate play. May be the bike was getting hiccups at lower rpms due to the above reason.
