Moreover my bike is an older technology one, not at all high revving, so chances of tappets going loose are very less, I agree.
He tightened the cam chain in front of me&voila! the sound was gone in a jiffy!

    You are Welcome.

which semi synthetic oil should I go for thinking of motul
    Motul 5100 should be fine.

And idling is set when engine is hot.
Get it checked with the engine RPM meter-it is a digital equipment&shows up accurately.

And hey Run in is done properly no harsh riding
    1st 550km ODO below 4000 RPM Below 50 speed
rest till below 60 speed 1200km ODO
    1500km ODO 90 speed
Thats good. You wouldn't have spoilt anything.

how much time it'll take to adjust cam chain tensioner
    should I do it really?
    pls feel free to comment
    thank u
    waiting for reply
Its not a big deal-gets loose with riding&is set from the outside only by the mech, it hardly takes 2 mins.
    Quench my thirst with gasoline!

Do u recommend 180 for my height?wat about reliability?
      am also worried about vibrations...
i used starcity for past 3 years[used both by me and my dad] and it was vibrating like tractor above 60kmph...
Is apache's vibrations comparable to starcity at much higher speeds?

      thanks in advance..
      happy biking!!!!
go for A180 star city is different engine it's different mind set altogether and this RTR 180 is different can't compare
if u think too much of vibs then go for honda
but then don't think of performance and build quality
for ur height take a test ride of RTR 180 then decide take the ride for at list 5km in different areas City Traffic and highways
yamaha FZ 16S also good choice but don't go for R15 otherwise go For RTR 180 has better riding position then R15 consider ur height
      A180
is performance, Sound, Build quality, Only White Colour,
Or just wait 3 to 4 months and get ur hands on RTR 250 it'll b a legend like SHOGUN "The Boss", RTR 180, R15
      thank u

switch to fully synthetic as renny says after 8000 on ODO
        Motul 300V factory line 10w40
        or Agip racing 5w40
or castrol power 1 racing 4T
        or mobil super 4T 10w40
any synthetic oil will do the job

Like Fiero i think the RTR too has the automatic chain tensioner, can anyone confirm this.

Not bad in dry,on leaning though it scares you, never inspires confidence and makes you think twice, then little more, then makes you do a safe turn before actually leaning arount the corner.

              On wet it SUCKS.

My Fiero had run 50k+ kms and never had its tappets touched, had a piston ring change at around 30k km, don't remember of the tappets were adjusted at that time.

I told the SVC at my last service, but they did nothing... said some crap like disks are worn unevenly etc, which I know is not the reason... What could be the problem?
Does it come back to normal after to leave the bike alone for sometime. If it does then its probably just a case of brake fade which happens with excess heat buildup from continuous, prolonged use of the brakes. Try to avoid continuous application of the brakes to allow cooling and use the engine also for braking when possible.

But if you have ears to lend there and know the bike fully then you can make out the difference by twist of the throttle...
But ya i agree one need to be little experienced for that.

10w40 the best.10w50 is more viscous and the engine wont rev freely..No harm will be caused by 10w50.
