thanks lijo.My Bike is Running Strong.Just that I tend to fear every noise coming from Engine as I wear Helmet most of the time,Any Harsh Noise Will be audible more inside helmet. And You are right - My Bike tends to be at 68-70kmph at a straight road in 5th gear on 5K Rpm.Here it is raining bad these days and I don't really like riding in rain since I have only raincoats with Me

@ALL: Regarding Motoman's Method ,I feel We cannot go EXACTLY As He Recommends. But ,Trying after First Service is Not really bad.But Of course Not exactly ,Don't thrash the bike to the 7K range and above.

    • hey guys....................today afternoon, i sneaked from work and went to Ashwini Motors - Airoli for a TD ........when i reached there i was readily offered a Black A180 for the TD.....but to my surprise, the bike was registered in somebody's name already!!!!!......i asked the guy - ' u dont have a seperate bike for TD? '. he said ' naaaaaaaah.....this bike has come for 1st service, u can ride it'.......now i took a ride of the bike.....but i was feeling for the owner, so i didnt rip the bike......i took the bike for a ride....@karkai6 _
nice winding roads in Airoli were nice to ride on.....rode for some 3kms....took the bike upto 75kmph in top gear....and once took the bike above 7k rpm in 2nd gear....the bike had run some 350 odd kms....i didnt feel any vibration.....i was quoted an on-road price of 73,500inr for White......

Visit Innovative TVS at Bhandup once if possible, and get quote from them. They are the best on part of customer service. I have bad experiences about Ashini TVS.
There's lot to it other than saddle....

It's actually the opposite with me man. When i wear my helmet i can hardly hear the engine noise, especially tappets, only the exhaust note. But without a helmet, the tappet noise is so pronounced it sometimes scares me, till i realise i'm not wearing a helmet.

          • ^well ,I meant Most Noises are not audible;but ,some sounds are audible more like ...very high tappet noise etc`.oh!You may not hear if you ride inside City

              • The guy at Ashwini motors never told me any of this... Sheesh... He did not even tell me it was another guy s bike.. The only indication i got was from the guy sittin behind me who kept tapping my shoulder when I was trying to redline it in 2 nd gear.. He was lik "Boss, Take it easy".. I hope mine was a new one... I dont know though.. And besides, He quoted extra for the White colour..

I am Glad... I liked them during the Booking period...They seemed very friendly and helpful.. I just dont know how their attitude during service would be.. I have read pretty bad reviews about TVS service here at xbhp.. How is it in Mumbai?? or at Innovative?? Any idea?

                  • I am confused regarding the Touring abilities of the RTR 180.. Lets say.. On high altitude areas.. It would obviously not be as good as a liquid cooled machine would it?? Would heating issues crop up on say a 300 km road trip if I maintain a 100 kmph cruising speed?? Would it be so bad so as to cause any significant problems??

                    • Salaam ,
Should I change to some other Engine Oil after finishing 1500kms ?I believe ,during first service they have put TVS-TRU4 Oil.Which Other Oils are Recommended(Till 3000kms) ?I want a Engine(not synthetic) Oil Which Assists in Better Cooled Engine ?Castrol Power 1 ?Any Other Brands? And TVS-TRU4 is 20W40 Oil Right?

Firstly ,I will tell frank answer(As a Ex-Bullet Owner as well):
100kmph sustained speeds will sure strain these kind of Bikes. But RTR Will for sure can do.But -Pulsar 220 will cope up better or for 90kmph speeds,I will recommend RE Bullet 350 or AVL LB500(Grab it,production stopped!).So ,it is Either Pulsar220(21bhp) or LB500(23.6 bhp with head loads of torque) is the Logical Solution for a Tourer. For High Altitudes ,Fuel Injected Models(DTS-FI ,RTR-FI,PGM-FI etc) Will be better.

I bought my bike from ashwini tvs and got first two services done with them. they simply screw the bike. In case of Innovative TVS, they are fully professional and gr8 in servicing. I service and repair my RTR and victor with them now.

You can buy it from ashwini TVS. Regarding payment, its your choice. It you can get good loan offer, go for it. I have taken it on my fathers name. He is bank employee.
