              • Hi,
Thats great discussion going on abt dragging ,
just wnna ask you that while clutchless gear shift do i have to leave accelerator or i just change while accelerating

And if i cant do cluthless shifting while accelerating then can i shift gears without releasing accelerator i.e, throttling till high Rpms 9-10k and shifting gears with clutch
and releasing the clutch suddenly(when i did it today i got good pull).

                  • Hi I recently got my RTR 2 days ago, I just got the first service over with at 612 kms. I personally overlooked the servicing. I have 2 questions..
                    1. The service reminder still glows each time I turn on the ignition. Do I have to get it serviced again?
                    2. The headlight is not focused properly, the high beam is set too low for me. There is nothing in the owners manual that mentions how to focus the high beam accordingly.
                    3. How long do the tyres last? I have to ride about 300kms 5 days a week to work and back on expressway.

Here's a pic of my rides

report this to the SVC...they'll have some clue.Maybe they forgot to set it.

                          • Got the headlight thingy fixed, seems there is a bolt under the fairing which you have to loosen up tilt the fairing a bit higher and retighten it. Now it's working really well. I'll go to the service center tomorrow and get the service reminder light fixed. Does anyone here know how long do the stock tyres last? I had gone to the bridgestone dealership and came across a set of extra hard 120/70 for rear and 100/70 for front (Bridgestone Battlewings) thinking of getting myself a set. Really like the exhaust note and the sharp horn. Best part is fuel consumption. I'm getting 800+kms on a full tank. I love my fuel gauge, people here are jealous of my fuel guage

Congratulations for your newest acquisition. And that's an awesome sight of those machines.

Nops you dont need to service it again.Just press both the SET and MODE button simultaneously for over 10sec, the service light wont show up!!

Do you mean 1500kms in 5 days or 300kms in 5 days ?
As per my observations, the tyres will last from 17-20k.

                              • It works thanks chicane1879. Now I don't have to stop the the service center half way to work. Yeah I actually do ride about 1500kms to 1750kms in about 5 days. But it's cool, about 90% is on smooth expressway. I usually do my 150kms to work and then the same on my way back home. Takes me about 3 hours each way. I do the same in about half the time on my Suzuki, but the RTR is just so much more cheaper to run I got my Suzuki this year in Feb I think and it's already on it's 3rd set of tyres. The RTR is just so much more easier to live with hassle free and just the perfect size for me too, I'm not very tall I think I'll stick with the stock tyres for now. They seem to be holding up well and grip level is adequate.
