Did you go to J.C road for tyres? Did the dealer tell you that Mrf has too much demand and 110/80 17" is a very rare size?

yes JC road cherry tyres.yes no other shop had the tyres, he said demand is too much

A very happy new year to you all.

BTW anybody here using Michelin Pilot Sporty at rear on his RTR, if yes then how is the overall performance?
Is it stable in corners and does it provide good grip in corners?

It was almost at standstill. Abs doesn\'t work then. But with sudden starts followed by brakes, it works. Helped me many times from hitting the vehicle before. And during the turning again I was slow enough on gravel. Just that the handle was turned and the weight was felt on the front wheel and eventually I lost control at such slow speed. Then to manage, I revved up and had some wheel spin. The front tyre skidded in the opposite direction since the handle was turned. But this doesn\'t happen on normal roads; I have come across such situations where even cars/trucks come turning in wrong directions against me.

I got the 120/80 for rear (Rs. 2650)and 90/90 for front(Rs. 1750) about 2-3 months ago. Grip is extremely good as compared to stock ones. Have not done much cornering, but still felt confident in the little bit I did, and certainly good for city based riding. Although the top speed and pick up does get reduced IMO.

I think there is something which is conspiring against me and my bike. Yesterday I found the fuel pipe cut, just above the connection end. Is there a chance it got cut on its own?

No, not unless the pipe was really old and cracked. Time to revaluate your choice in parking spaces.

I cannot find any other part of the tube to be cracked. Anyways, I just hope somebody didn't cut it. Or I have to live with the consequences of being a faculty member and living near a men's hostel. I am considering buying big hard blue cover for the bike now.

Some rats/bandicoots do crave for the petrol pipe. They just love to nibble on the rubber.
If it is a very neatly executed cut.. You are not Mr. popular with students

You should consider a petrol lock (as you stay near a boys hostel ) and get some steel braided tube over the normal petrol pipe.

I thought I made it pretty clear to you what I meant but Yes someone cut the tube for sure. look see if it has a jagged edge or a smooth edge at the cut. If its smooth then it was cut for sure, if its jagged then its 50-50.

I see a smooth cut. It could be some kids from outside who were there playing. Also I don't teach any one. I am a research associate. But, some of these kids seem to be breaking something or the other that doesn't belong to any of them. About the local kids doing stuff: you know how kids are. They just love making someone's very good day into a mess.

Happens, get an aftermarket fuel tap lock (Check Manju\'s and Expo, Beach Road). And just to be safe carry an extra fuel hose with clips in your toolkit.

I will look into the fuel tap lock thing. And I have replaced the fuel hose. Now I need to fix the clip properly. Thank you for the suggestion mate!
