The heating issue was the most important for TVS's R&D division Hosur.. Actually TVS have set Honda as a bench mark for heat issue & the team have tried to reduce the heating but have'nt succeed.. That 10 degree stuff is given by TVS's marketing... P.S, this was from my friend who works in the R&D dept. of TVS.. Its upto you to decide what you want to believe..
What grade is Motul 7100T..?? 10W40 or 20W50..?? Is it a F.S oil..??
This showroom guy is different..He knows some stuff..check out his youtube videos for RTR,really helpful things.Infact I posted links for some of those videos many pages before.

Actually i just shared the information what he said. I am happy that my bike is healthy and i can enjoy my riding with my RTR.
By the way 7100T is 10w40, and its a FS oil, a good alternate for MOTUL 300V.

F.S oil makes the engine run hotter... Just go through the "Engine Oil" thread...

Last time I checked plug showed perfect combustion..carb not fully disassembled but cleaned.26k approx.
I am going to recheck all pointers one by one and try to find the culprit!

I've noticed that RTR s in the range of 24-28k km have a tendency of giving low fuel efficiency.. Not sure if it is a trait of the RTR or just some thing is being overlooked during service... Many guys have this problem & the bike's air filter, spark plug, carb.,TPS are fine but no improvement in FE & suddenly after another service the bike gives a normal FE..
Have you tried de-greasing the engine..?? Tappet/ valve clearance adjustment..??

The chain was completely loose & it was touching the swing arm, it had uneven tightness & slag.. Now it has perfect tightness...
Mine has started making even more noise. I think I'll change it for the peace of mind.

No...I am pretty sure it is not a trait..By the way the rear disc was kind of holding the wheel, rear wheel was not rotating freely.Adjusted that..will update after checking FE.
Also a car mechanic rode my bike and commented that tappet is loose. He also told that its not my head which is leaking..the valve cover packing has gone. Will make that right too.

Well it is not a trait for sure, but few guys have brought up this issue that to at the certain km readings.. It cannot be the rear disc, I recently changed my front brake pads & the wheel is not moving freely but still I'm getting the same F.E..
The decrease in FE is due to the tappets & oil leak.. When getting the packing changed use the "Anabond 666T" it is good compared to TVS's sealant, if need be..

In apache 180's website, it is mentioned that maximun payload is 130kg. What does it mean?

It is normal.. Run the bike, slowly the gear shifts will smooth en out.. It might be that your bike is new & you are not "clicking" the gear into position..While shifting give enough force, so you will get a click sound..

I guess it means 130 kg is the threshold for (rider + pillion or saddle)'s weight for optimum performance. Post 130 kg, performance would take a hit.

Omg! Do They think that all riders are exactly 65kg? What would be the effects in performance?

Performance here would refer to loss in pull, acceleration, comfort zone, low mileage, over heating issues and basically it is possible that the bike will struggle.. its not only in rtr.. it applies for every bike.. maybe the threshold might be a little high for other bikes with higher cc..
