Did you check/replace the spark plug recently..?? If not, that might be the issue..Clean or replace the plug & clean the plug cap as well, ensure no rain water is present..

All you have to do is get the bike to a good mechanic (preferably to the senior most in the SVC) and get him to tune it till the sound goes. The same thing happened to my bike sometime back, I was insisting it is just to do with the tuning but the mechanic dint listen. He removed lot of stuff all the ones that you've mentioned and still nothing. I finally told him just close the main screw in the carb and set it to the company specified no of turns and that's what he did. It was perfect and even he had a big smile on his face !

I am also facing a similar problem.My abs has stopped working and i suspect my rear sensor to have failed. Even I am from mumbai and i was also thinking of coming to Bhandup innovative tvs. Is your problem solved?? and 1500 for that sensor?? is it so costly?

Its the unofficial 4th Birthday of my bike. Purchased on IDD 2009.
51K completed. All is well. Chain is making some noise. Some cleaning and greasing needed....

I am planning to replace my trust Suzuki GS 150 which has completed 92,000 KMS with Apache 180 ABS sometime in November. Can someone tell me the servicing schedule of Apache. How many free services. Warranty Details and the Best Dealer in Bangalore.

I used to find Apache 2012 model's beast inspired pilot lamps really awful at begining. But man it's so cool and stunning at the evening and after when you see one. Oncoming from a distance, going past you, or in your rear view mirror, it's a wonderful sight. Definitely a head turner.

It is 2.5 turns from the fully closed position.

I have not ridden a GS150 but all I can say is Apache RTR 180 ABS is a good bike.. Good acceleration & ABSolute braking confidence and stability.. The engine is on the rough side, which tends to be irritating some times. The riding position is aggressive & is a pain in the wrist(on bad roads).. The handling is amazing, especially in the city..If ridden sanely you can easily get a FE of 42+ kmpl in city..The bike has a low top end..

The bike has a service interval of :-
1.500-750 1 month
2.2500-3000 3month
3.5000-6000
4.8500-9000
5.1500-12000 12 months.
Five free services.. The RTR requires a service after every 2000 or 2500 km.. The RTR is under warranty for 24 months..
The TVS SVC is absolutely terrible as the mechanic of TVS find the RTR with Alien technology & do hopeless service..It seems the motto is solve problems to create new ones..
The best dealer was Meghdooth Motors on M.G road.. Their flagship was the RTR ABS but now the dealer will have a flagship model as Hyabusa..A dealer in Kormangala seems to be good in terms of customer relations..

I think it should be minimum 4-5 turns. 2.5 is very lean.

2.5 turns is for RTR180 only!! (One turn means full 360 degree rotation of the fuel screw) This is the factory setting.

For RTR160 it is more (it must be 3.5 - 4 turns but I am not 100% sure). Looking at your profile pic, you have a 160 so yes it is more.

Hi guys..my bike is now 1yr old and i was thinking of changing the exhaust sound...
These are the things I have in mind:-
1.K&N - Are these good for Apaches...?? What are the problems after installing K&N..?? Is there any other good aftermarket Filters suitable for RTR 180?
2.Free flow exhaust - Joel's FFE had crossed my mind.I did sent him a mail..but no reply till now.
3.Modifying the stock filter - My friend who owns a HH hunk told he removed the outer filter and his bike sounds good now..He told me it will not harm the bike...What are your opinion about this..??
Also i saw a video in youtube..here is the link : TVS Apache RTR (how to modify filter to v2 for more response and sound ) - YouTube Will doing this DIY mess up the carb??
Is there any other DIY that can be done to change the sound...??
Kindly provide your suggestions..
