I've been rolling on Michelin Pilot Sporty 90/90 17" for the past 12k km.. No punctures, no cracks... I found that the front brakes are just superb( could make out the difference right after I changed from TVS tyres).. Excellent for dry straight & superb for corners.. Nothing great for wet(when tyre are cold).. The performance of tyre increases (in wet) when it reaches a slight warm temperature..

Are you planning( or already using ..??) for a 100/80 17" for the front..?? The tyre might touch the mud guard.. Stick to a 90/90 17"..

Michelin has a Pilot Sporty 120/80 17" for the rear.. You can go for it.. INR 2300-2400..

Bike has run some good 48,000 km, I've changed both tyre before ladakh trip last year the odo at thta time was around 27,000 km...
So its good 20,000+ km with current tires. I am very happy with front PS Michelin's but now wanted to Change rear vertigo to something else (as Vertigo- I've installed soelely for Ladakh)..

SP 120 Rear looks better... and 100 ones does not touch to front mud guard at all

Hey Guys,

Gave the RTR a full service not in the showroom but TVS service center, they fixed the chain problem by tightening the chain and changed the engine oil to Shell AX5 which they prefered, the bike is now running smooth and gear shift is butter, also the unwanted vibe and sound at 4rpm is as good as gone now it is just a light rrrrrroooommmmm!!!!!

Great... BTW you have to give your bike at SVC only for servicing not at showroom

What ? How come you gave it to the service center and not showroom for servicing ? That's very strange !

What about the Pirelli MT75? and Pirelli Sports Demon?
90/90 sports Demon in front (p speed rating) or MT75 90/80 in the front and MT75 110/80 (S speed rating)on the rear tyre?
Cant stop wondering how good the Apache will break on a true soft compound S rated tyres in the front .

I had MT75 110/80 -17 on rear, grip wise no doubt it is really good. But it ran for a little more than 10,000kms that's all, since it is soft compound. Surprisingly had just one puncture though. You can try it out but I personally prefer something moderate than a soft compound tyre, considering the bad roads in India and also that I am more inclined towards off roading too these days

you can try Pirelli Sports demon they last longer

I have the new headlight, in case of old design...you might have to adjust the reflectors while the reflectors in new design are rather weak, so just fix & use. Anyway here are the pics

The color of the lamp is a good mix of white & yellow but only issue is it's lifespan which is supposed to be less. Hope Adarsh_Bk lamp is still working

Not sure man.. there were very few available when I bought (more than a year back) and they dont sell MT75 officially in India. Regarding sports demon, the smallest 17 inch tyre is 130/70 so I didnt want to go for it since it is too wide. 18 inch has many options from PSD. Moreover PSD is being sold for more than 4-5k which I dont think is worth it (Used to cost around 3k a year back). I would mostly go for dual purpose tyres next time. Currently running on Vyde and it has done 12k kms.

@aditya_iyer : Of course it is working Even I saw that bulb life is shorter than regular bulbs but it should easily last more than a year or two.

I am thinking of going for dual purpose tyres like MRF Meteor or CEAT vertigo sport/rage etc. You can try Pilot Sporty or even MRF Vyde (both similarly priced and similar grip I believe). I have been using Vyde for 12k kms now and it is still decent, would go upto 15k without trouble I guess.
