Again, just my opinion. Don't hate me for sharing it

Disclaimer- not hating you, but I hate half knowledge.
First ABS is a thing that if implemented at lower speeds, adds many complex wheel disbalancing problems, besides makes the operation more sophisticated, that's why at lower speeds, abs generally doesn't kick in.
Second, Corner abs is altogether different ball game. If you look at even kawa 650r or bmw bikes, they too even don't have a good abs, recently aprilla launched a corner abs, look at recent xbhp news thread, so corner abs isn't related to desi cheapo bikes, it is a different technology which a simple abs cannot compensate.
All abs works on same principle, that is antilock braking system, difference is higher value products use more variables while producing a computerized program for automation, and hence cost higher.
85k and you want bugaati features.
Personally I dislike RTR as a bike, when you can get a power pack ns at 10k more, I don't like the idea of rtr, but what i don't like more is criticizing something, because it Is DESI. WE have developed a colonial mentality that whatever comes from west is good, and whatever from us, is Bad. I appreciate tvs, bajaj and mahindra for taking India ahead in terms of automobile manufacturing.

Bro, I don't think that DESI is bad, TVS, Bajaj, TATA, Mahindra are companies that make some great stuff. India has progressed technologically soooooo much in the past few years, and a lot of that progress should be credited to the above companies. So just to be clear, i am not criticizing the ABS coz its DESI, I am simply saying that its an entry level ABS, so not to expect miracles from it.

And thank you for elaborating on the functionality of the ABS, nothing that I didn't know already, but its good for everyone else's education in the matter.

Everyone is amply intelligent here when it comes to differentiate between STRAIGHT ABS and CORNERING ABS ,but since you judged the abs w.r.t. cornering ability proving it futile, I had to step up to enlighten you.
Lets just agree to disagree. Enough OT has been done already.
Thank you sooooo much.

New one costs rs1800/-

Well, technically warranty is only 2 years. For the next two years it's pro-rata return rate.

What makes you compare RTR's ABS to "cheapo" after market ABS that are available for as low as 500bucks?
And then comes your point of skills. Even Rossi after so much experience have slides, so its not a "guarantee" that skill will save you.

Yup added safety is always better. Full stop. However, having ABS also doesn't guarantee saves. Its eventually luck with skill and presence of mind of aptly using a safety feature that will eventually do any of the saving. If its gravelly dusty roads you travel on then its better off to depend on own skill.. but if you drive on tar and depend on electronics for precise braking then ABS helps.... I own a CBR 250r non abs and i in fact have more fun on it... till it drops me dead... ... but yeah. safety greatly helps and there is no comparison to cheap ABS. Proper accentuated ABS can only be developed with the manufacturer with heavy duty testing. Anyone saying their cheap Rs 500 ABS works better must really have their pulse on the money.

My stock Battery gave up within first two years (never used Kick ). Learnt my lesson the hard way-Kick was jammed and it took around 100 kicks to start without battery. Then changed to Tata Green Battery. Use the kick start once every morning. Its been almost 3 years with the Tata and it still works wonder.

Went for a 270km ride yesterday. Now horn is working fine with batt, still self start wont work.
My rtr also needs 100 kicks to start. This was never the case with my splendour. Most of the times when kicking we can feel that there is no resistance on kicker and bike wont start.
Exide dealer is denying the discount which is mentioned in the warranty booklet and asking me to return the battery to the shop I got it from.Is that necessary?
Also what is the cost of these batteries?Excide one will cost 1800/-

Indicator broken
Crash guard bent.
Gear side rider foot peg gone nd

Sould i claim insurance as i want my front brake caliper nd master cylinder also replaced. [emoji48]
Their is no major issue with braking system but if that can be changed under 100% claim it would be great.

ALSO PLEASE TELL ME ON WHAT PARTS AM I GOING TO GET MORE THAN 75% FROM INSURANCE.

Devesh You didn't mention what kind of policy you have. Going by your post it doesn't seem to be a zero depreciation one. Try to go through your policy documents, this kind of things are mentioned there. Generally you get more than 75 percent on metal parts while fibre/plastic parts fetch around 30-50 percent depending upon age of the vehicle. Having said that, your relations (no pun) with your dealer/service center can do wonders in case of insurance claims & warranty replacement. > I doubt if they can replace the brake parts which are not damaged by accident under insurance, but you can always ask. By the way what's the problem with brakes? > Good to see that you are safe after the accident, Ride safe!

Nothing till now mate..

I called them to enquire and got an information that the TPS replacement will be done by regions.

So B'lore will be the first followed by other states..

The guy told that they will be calling us once they receive the SIB order.

Waiting for the same mate.

Thanks to Divyansh, i now park my bike on centre stand and switch off the fuel supply when leaving the bike in office parking and in evening and i haven't stalled it. :-)

I have noticed that the gears a bit hard when i start the bike cold but after around 3-4 kms they become super smooth like just touch and go...it is a common thing ?

Also, the bike manufacturing date is sometime in Feb 2014, does it need to have the gear level changed ? Is the new level available for change in Delhi/NCR/anyone got it changed in Delhi/NCR ?
