The Powerhouse FZ thread (closed now) and I even wrote in brief in this thread. Almost an year back this happened, so you needto search a bit. In short, a simple plug n play ffe left a hole of 11k in my pocket

Hanvt found any leak. Oil level is alright. But the breaks are not like what it used to be. Sharpness is not there. The cylinders might have taken air somewhere I guess.

If you are not able to feel the break pressure even after pressing the brake pedal to half then there is air in your brake lines.

Took the bike for 2nd free service to AK TVS, Delhi.

Told him about the engine stall due to overheating, this happened when bike has run around 600km and i took it to 90kmph for around 1km. The mechanic (around 65 years) did the service. He removed the petrol tank and adjusted the tappets and also set the carburettor air-fuel screw.

After that bike should lot of improvement, there was visible improvement in pickup and it went to 70kmph without a sweat.

However, today while coming back from office it ripped it through the distance (around 5K rpm) and maintained 60-65 throughout. The distance from office to home is 20km. Nearing home the bike again stalled and the engine was heating a lot, there was also smell of something burning from the engine.

Can anyone help what this issue might be ? The bike has completed 1300KM..can i run it on 65kmph continuously for kms ?

Naah.. I was already driving in the 80s after 1000 km. I have faced same issue as yours. But after 2nd service it doesnt over heat. I had told them about the issue, It used to overheat and idle rpm used to climb upto 2k after driving 10 kms. Guess you should go back to service center again, it will be fine dont worry.

OK. Will try to visit them next week...can stalling issue be due to bad fuel quality ? Yes, after 2nd service if I drive at around 65-70 for 1-2 kms and then press the clutch then idle rpm increase to around 1500rpm before 2nd service this was not the case, I think it happened due to tapplet adjustment.

Did your bike refused to start after stalling ? Mine doesn't start if I let it stop...so I keep the rpm high somehow...it acts like in case when fuel gets low and bike tries to stop.

Guys, this problem is not related to my RTR, but its Tyre

I drive 26 kms each day and my front tire loses 1 PSI every day. I fill air with pressure of 26 PSI and after 1 week it goes down to 20 PSI. I filled day before yesterday at 26 PSI and today it was at 24 PSI.
The behind tire pressure however remains intact. Kindly help me out as two shops couldn't find any puncture in it.

Yes Yes same issue. I used to do the same and keep the throttle up so that it doesn't stall, because if it stalled i had to press the self start 3-4 times before the bike actually started. But somehow they have rectified the problem in my bike, ask them to look into it again. My bike has done oly 4k kms and I have visited the SVC like 6-7 times already with some or the other issue. But now the bike is running fine, except the tire pressure problem which i have mentioned above

                    What is your idle rpm?

Stalling can happen due to bad fuel / carb issue / tps issue. These are some of the reasons that came first in my mind.
Do let us know after you change the fuel and the idle rpm.

Have you checked for bent alloys?
I guess yours is tube type tyre (is it 160?)
If yes : Check for tube valve
If no : Get the alloy checked, then get the air out of the tyres and clean the inside of the tyre thoroughly and then let us know.

No it is Tubeless tire, RTR 2014 model.
Where can I get the bent alloys checked, in a tire shop or puncture shop? And if its issue of bent alloys, how much could be the cost of repair?

That means I will need to go to SVC again. That would be the 7th time, those guys will be frustrated with me. Kool man, thanks for the info.

Thats a cluch issue. Also can be tps. By the sounds of it afr is also haywire. Ask an outside mech to adjust your clutch... and to tune your carb. lube that chain aswell. For tps I have no idea how to check it. Somebody enlighten here... also check oil level... now this issue can be something stupid like a carb bowl overflow.... when the bike stalls close the fuel tap lean the bike or keep giving it self or kicks... it it starts up after 2 to 3 cranks its a carb float overflow issue.

                            Divyansh....

My idle rpm is around 1200. But I have to use choke every time I start the bike in morning else it won't start with self or by kick. I have seen people in my building start their pulsar with one self in the morning [emoji22] but this Apache won't bulge a bit.
I will refill the tank from reputed pump this time and then check. They adjusted the tapplets in 2 swrvice .
