vrags Thanks for super quick reply. 926 only for front disc (& labour) right? You did it at authorised service centre?

Can you post a photo of worn out disc for future references in the forum?

I'll post it later in the evening..but the crate formation on the disc clearly indicates the inefficiency of braking.. Labor may be around 150.. Together you may have to lay around 1150 altogether..

Real feast for ride now...Beyond all, it's at free of cost. Brilliant job..
Heads up for the entire TVS crew for their continued support...
1. Are they doing it for free even for out of warranty vehicles?
2. Is it only for RTR 180 or 160 is also included?
3. From which service centre did you get it done? Are you a regular there?
4. Does it cause any change in the angle of your foot when shifting?

I guess its the tvs rimura or something. Wee bit softer compound (still hard as hell) and michelin pilot sporty copy tread pattern. Good move by tvs but a medium compound will be a better bet.

Perfectly all right. Just that I should have been specific- "Do it in a open space, not on busy roads." Come on now, how hard is it, to find a 1 km empty stretch/field?

Redlining in any gear has the same consequence once the engine is warm. Its safe if you shift at 7K RPM (for RTR), in the first gear, as it gets the time to warm up till you reach 9K in second gear. Similarly its not advisable to rev past 5K while idling in the morning.
Redlining once a while is necessary for the bike, but doing it everytime can screw the engine big time.

1) Shud be free for all vehicle but it depends on ur rapport with SVC. Coz the notice says, its only for the vehicles under warranty.
2)Its for both 160 and 180.
3) I have always been to Bharath SVC in Jayanagar from past 5 years. Both my previous 160 and 180 were serviced there. They provide excellent service. No offence yet..
4) Yes. The new one is lil short than the old one and u might see the difference in angle, inclined upwards. But, gear shifting, sheer smooth.. You'll love it for sure..

front disc plate got worn out, was too concerned about the rear disc that i failed to check on the front one.
total expense was 1327 + 100 for the disc , pads, and labour

'Tps function integrated with TCI unit.. ' Hows that possible without knowing the throttle position? Since the extra throttle cable and tps are eliminated
