    3) I have always been to Bharath SVC in Jayanagar from past 5 years. Both my previous 160 and 180 were serviced there. They provide excellent service. No offence yet..
    4) Yes. The new one is lil short than the old one and u might see the difference in angle, inclined upwards. But, gear shifting, sheer smooth.. You'll love it for sure..
I own a TVS APACHE 160, which is around 2yrs old. My rear shock absorbers have lost its ground, pillon started to get pain on his back, when i go through bumps. Now i am planning to change my rear shocks, i researched in net that the NITROX P220 rear shockabsorbers fit directly to RTR, and i costs way less than the GABRILE RTR 160 stockabsorbers. Should i have retain the stock absorbers (or can i use rtr 180 shocks for rtr 160), or can i go with P220 rear shocks.

Well Apache and NS both are good bikes but for me, Apache is like LOVE AT FIRST SITE. I am around 5"8' and apache fits me best. When I TD NS, i was continuously feeling that something is missing which Apache fulfilled. Well this I really can't explain, but it can just be felt. Maximum speed limit of Apache is around 130 kmph whereas NS has around 135 or 140 kmph, but think once that how many times in citi or even on highways you are going to touch that speed and for how long time? Moreover Apache provides ABS, which in my opinion is most useful tool. You will see so many people saying that ABS is just bullshit but those will only realize the importance of this when they suddenly have to break at the speed of 100 to 120 Kmph on wet or even dry surface. In my opinion, you just take both the bikes for TD on an open long highway and at the end of ride, you will definitely be haveing your answer. Also personally I don't like Bajaj vehicle's sound. after sometime, they produce a weird noise. It is just 2 days now for me with my love so can't completely justify you question. But hope this can help you. If not, please contact me until you are fully satisfied. I have done hell lot of research regarding this Apache v/s NS topic. Feel free to contact. Tc

Thumbs up bro.. That was legit feedback.... I agree with you on all the aspects... NS is really a good machine with wider tyres and more aero dynamic design.. However, apache stands out as a better beast.. It does 136 on top end and nothing lesser in terms of acceleration and road grip (ofcourse not on stock tyres).. Beyond all.. ABS.. is truly life saver.. I have personally been saved atleast 5 times from fatal error. It truly an amazing piece of armour for any bike, which isn't anything else to compare with.. Go for it.. Dont have a 2nd thought.. It truly is of master class..

I think my stock tyres are different. I don't have very good knowledge about tyres but at showroom, there were many 180 abs and non-abs apaches present but threading on tyres and at some extent quality also was different of abs and non-abs so it is possible that TVS has done something batter about tyres. Let me confirm 100% and I'll revert back to you people regarding the fact.

As always , the issue with TVS is not the pattern.. instead the quality.. Though pattern play a major, TVS tyres are always known for their pathetic grip especially on wet tarmac.. Never be surprised even if u make turn at 20s than 70s on dry run.. Long noticed .. still hoping for the best..

Hey guys, I am Chaitanya from Berhampur (Odisha). I recently bought a used Apache RTR 180, it is a 2010 model with less then 20k mileage. The bike was well maintained and just a few general parts only changed, got it for 42k and the TVS tires still look brand new with no sign of wear. I have completed 1500km on my new steed and it has been a fun and exciting 1500kms for me and I hope to continue this in the long run. And guys getting a healthy mileage of 42 - 44kmpl. My battery is refusing to charge even after riding. After charging the battery manually, loosing charge almost immediately. Time for new battery? RR has no issues.
Nice mods from TVs..would love to get that gear lever thingy done.

I hope Battery is under warranty. Take it to nearest exclusive retailer of the maker for troubleshooting the issue & for a replacement if necessary.

                          Hi All,

I use engine braking in my Apache RTR 180 very frequently. I just want to ask whether it affects my engines life?

                          Thanks.

I think it effects clutch plates & mileage. But its quite normal to use engine braking. Even the book manual suggests the same.
but the point is in how worse situation you are using (say) using engine breaking quite often when your bike is running in say 80+ speed, is not that good.
